So, I'm about to put together a party consisting of some interesting, evil characters from R. A. Salvatore's books. I'm gonna make a four person party with these characters

Jarlaxle - drow male, not quite sure of his class

Artemis Entreri - human male, assassin in the books

Rai'gy - drow male, some sort of cleric/mage in the books (Salvatore made an error with the spelling of his name, first he called him Rai'gy but in the next book Rai-guy

Kimmuriel Oblodra (spelling right?) - drow male, some sort of psionicist in the books

So, if anyone has read the books and is interested in helping me, please come with suggestions. What I need to do is to decide what classes these guys should be (some might be multi-classed), what strategies I could use, what stats they should have, and also, what portraits I should use. I have already gotten portraits for Jarlaxle and Artemis, but I need some cool ones for the other two characters. If you know of any cool portraits or portrait packs, and where to get them, please let me know.

    Can't wait to get started!

I'm sure there are some more or less official stats somewhere in the realm of Google or in some source books. Jarlaxle is probably a fighter/rogue with lots of UMD and a penchant for toys. Entreri's stats I've seen in several places, I think, so you'll be better off googling them. No Assassin in IWD2, so perhaps go for fighter/rogue and take the Alchemy-based feat to poison your weapon. The closest to psion would be sorcerer with GSF: Enchantment and focusing on mind spells. Unless you make Jarlaxle or Rai'gy single-classed, all of them will be multi. I suggest rogue levels for Entreri also because of the fact he will be the only guy without ECL2, which could make him more powerful than Jarlaxle, which is somewhat contrary to the impression I've had from the books. As for portraits and the like, Google is your friend. Good luck. ;)

I remember seeing Jarlaxle's stats in the Villain's Lorebook, but it was 2nd edition. Check this link http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/downloads that should give you some ideas.

Their special items are going to be hard to implement.

To make Jarlaxle more powerful than Entreri you can always start with the drows and add the human later on (he will be a few levels behind).

Well, I did some searching, got Jaraxle's and Entreri's stats, but not the others. I got both the 2nd ed and 3/3,5 ones, but I figure I'll mix them up a bit and do it like I feel from the books.

So, how does this look like:

    Jarlaxle:
    Str: 15 (too high?)
    Dex: 19/20?
    Con: 15/16?
    Int: 18
    Wis: 15
    Cha: 18

    Entreri:
    Str: 16 (too high?)
Dex: 20 (he's about as flexible as Drizzt)
    Con: 16 (pretty hardy)
    Int: 15
    Wis: 15
    Cha: 13

    Kimmuriel:
    Str: 10-12
    Dex: 16-18 (drow)
    Con: 14
    Int: 20-25
    Wis: 16-18
Cha: 20-25 (because I use sorcerer as a class, otherwise it would be low)

    Rai'gy
    Str: 13
    Dex: 16-18
    Con: 14
    Int: 20+ (powerfull mage)
    Wis: 20+ (powerfull cleric)
    Cha: 10-12

For Jarlaxle, I might use bard as one class, not sure about the others, perhaps rouge and fighter (and perhaps add some innate abilities)

For Entreri, fighter/rouge seems most logical

Kimmuriel: sorcerer, but I might add some clerical/druid spells to make it cooler.

    Rai'gy: mage (specialist?) /cleric

    Keep the help coming
