[IMG] What armour should my spellcasters (1 Wizard, 2 Sorcerers) have on? Currently all three of them wear robes and I would like it to stay that way, but sometimes I feel like I need some heavier protection for them. What do you think? BTW, currently all three of them have 0% chance of arcane spellcasting failure.

Unless you want to have your spells misfire constantly you should stay that way. Maybe some leather with armoured arcana proficency, the problem is that if they have a chance of spellcasting failure then they won't be able to defend themselves as well as before. Your best bet would be some braces or the spell mage armor as both give decent bonuses and don't cause casting failure.

[IMG] Yeah, finally found some bracers that add +4/+3 armour bonus, so I'm happy. Now I can concentrate on frying/shocking/huring my enemies, happy in the knowledge that none of my arcane spells will fail, but I still have some armour if things get dicey. I just love Mordy's Sword, don't you?? :)

The best protection available to mages is, imo, the spell "mirror images".
Don't cast it automatically prior to a fight, but cast it as soon as you see the message informing you that one of the baddies has targeted your mage.

[IMG] There is a armour that i have found that has 0% of spellcast failure. I think is the Chain of Drakkas. My cleric uses it and never fails a spell.

It's true, that armor has 0% spell failure. But Arcane spell. To maximize it's "bonus", you should use it on arcane spellcasters and not on divine spellcaster.

I've searched through dialog.tlk file and it seems that there is no other armor with arcane spell failure 0%, except two occurences of Drakkas' ones.

Thanks everyone for the help, especially that mirror image suggestion. Up till now I've been casting improved invisibility on everyone  , but I'm saving some slots by casting it only on my fighters. Thanks again. BTW, are there any more bracers that are more than +4 armour bonus?

Where are those Drakkas ones, Extremist?

Speaking about protection. Let me introduce Arrochir o Nelvarad, paladin9/diviner8

    shield
    mirror image
    haste
    stoneskin

if needed: blur, the spell of which name I have apparently forgotten, but which gives them 50% chance not to hit you and you 20% attack/cast fail rate, cat's grace

Heh, add to this the attack buffs he gets.

There's armor, that you can get in the Hand, that doesn't cause spell failure,I can't remember the name of it for the life of me though.

chev, I honestly don't remember, but I've found it somewhere near the end of the game. Probably in Severed Hand as Woody suggests.
