[IMG] Just interested to see if everyone uses the maximum hitpoints option during the IWD2 game.
From what I have read through the forums, most people seem to get the full hitpoints. If this is the case, why is there an option - why not just give characters the max hitpoints

    Thoughts most welcome.

I can't imagine why I would "turn it off", since HOF mode translated to normal English means, "death by orc at the Shaengarne bridge in less than 3 seconds"...

All characters need every hitpoint that they can get! Despite having a new batch of hitdice per level as distinct from 2E rules...

The way you do it in normal 3E rules is to roll your hp, and it was the way it was done in previos infinity engine games, so I guess that people want to stay true to those.

I just voted and I said I do put max hit points on. I just wanted to say that I find it funny that 7 people voted that they did and one said they didn't, but for question 2 there are 2 people that said they don't put it on because of role playing purposes.

    Just thought I'd mention it.

For p&p I roll or use point buy, but for any game that has the option to select max hitpoints per level, then why not. Crpg's are not the same as p&p as far as roleplaying goes.

You can never have too many hit points.
