Aw'ite, I can't find that group of ruffians that stole that spirits drinking horn.. I got all the info thats needed as far as I know, I was told that they went east into the Fell Wood and never returned.. I've cleared both places out completely before the actual Fell Wood maze, and now I've been wondering for an hour in there, and I just keep on running into the same monsters over and over, and I've tried every combination I can think of. Is there any trick to this or what? I don't want a spoiler, no need to get through the wood, Ijust need this little clue to find that ruffian band so that I can talk to the Elder of the village! Thanx

    Here's a "little" clue.
    There is not ruffian band.

    Want another one?
The horn is in the woods.

    Want another one?
Use the search feature of this forum. ;)

I figured no ruffian band, since they would be killed, but check it out, I even disarmed every tree trap in there, and checked everything, there is not one trap left in all the places that it allows you to go, killed all the trolls, skeletons, spiders etc. but i will search the forum, hopefully there is some luck. I have also started dropping items for direction, and just realised that wilderness lore really helps here, damn, should have thought of that earlier, thanx anyway!

[IMG] I was talking about what it says when you use Wilderness Lore

'You hear the wind echoing through a stone formation with a dead guy leaning on it'

Trypt, the online walkthrough on this site gives you very detailed instructions on how to get through the woods, and also has numbered maps to show you visually, if your wilderness lore skill is too low to help you here. If you want to do this without peeking, Pairi in the village can tell you how to get most of the way to where you need to go, and the Huntmaster will give you some general tips on finding your way through the woods. Mark your maps regularly as you may think you are going in circles even when you aren't!

    @#$%^&!!!!!

Good lord this is frustrating. The way the forest twists and turns.. the treant's limbs attacking me...the skeletons popping up...seeing the same markers I leave...the constant troll attacks! And who left those 6 tied bundles of sticks outside our tents??

But seriously, this level is insane. Where the hell are the will o` the wisps anyway?

[IMG] Most of the indevidual areas may look the same, but some are actually different, look at where the different clearings exits are and stuff.

The will'o'wisps are not what you have to kill (although they look similar). The wisps are only found while walking around in normal areas of the wood. They're created when you walk on certain traps, and although they attack you, are quite harmless compared to the ones you need to kill.

The ones you want are called 'Witch Lights' or something similar. They're found in 'The heart of the Forest'. The Driad will tell you how to get to the heart of the forest (perhaps you need to use a specific class to talk to her to get that option). This is if you want to play the game without looking at a map of the woods.
