[IMG] In the dungeon in Chult, there's a door, that leads into around 3 rooms i guess, that you need to perform some kind of brick puzzle in order to open. How do you do this? I heard someone say that it was easy, but I have no idea what to do. Help, please. And does anyone remember what I get inside? Because I just finished wasting that cake-eater black dragon and Cedra and all of her followers so I wanna know if that room is worth thrashing them all over again. btw. how did you guys initiate conversation with ANYONE down there? Because even though my monk wore his initiate disguise, they attacked on sight. Thanks all.

I don't see why everyone has troulble with the brick puzzle. Just keep pushing them, until the door opens. As bad as my advice is, and I am sorry, that is all I can tell you.

The puzzle is really sorta easy. I suck at puzzles and i figured this one out in under 2 minutes. The bricks are pushed down, and some of them lower/raise other bricks. Get a piece of paper and write down what each brick does if it gives you that much trouble.

[IMG] Uh I was thinking that there may be a more logical approach? What does the "Final Form" of the bricks have to be before the door opens? Do all the bricks have to be down? Because I'm not sure that's possible. Is there a point in this brick puzzle or are you just supposed to hit whatever in order to get it? I thought that there may be some kinda pattern that they showed and that I missed. Kind of like the part in IWD 1 when the pattern to open the tomb area with the electrical traps was printed all over the dwarves' round table.

First, all your characters have to be wearing the initiate robes or all the enemies down below are hostile as soon as you enter (so put the robes on before you enter the temple). Second, to keep everyone from becoming hostile you have to answer the yuan-ti archer's questions with the appropriate responses. The initiates (before you kill them) are going over some of these so take notes. Also, there is one more response that you need but you can only get it once you are in the temple. When you go to the kitchen, there are some other initiates there, discuss religion with them to learn the last response (the archers seemed to ask this final question a lot in my game).

Now, to the stone room. Well, if you sucessfully sneak into the temple and keep everyone from attacking you, then you can get the first 3 parts of the combination from a member of the vipers fang assassins (down in the southwestern portion of the temple). Once you have the first 3 parts, the cook will give you the last three. Simply push the six stones in the proper order and the door will open. There are 10 or 11 stones in the room, you only need to push 6 in the proper order to open the door.

It is possible that you could find the right combination by just pushing stones since when you push one stone down, others go down as well.

Now, as to the treasure. If you have a wizard you need to open that room, there are like 6 or 7 scrolls for high level spells in there. There was also a couple of weapons and a set of magic armor that was proof against charm spells I think. All in all, there are like 5 or 6 tables in there loaded with treasure.

Edit: nope, no pattern or logical approach to this puzzle, just push the bricks in the proper order...

[IMG] Oh. Damn. Thanks heh. Problem is, everyone down there is already dead and I deleted my Pre-Chult Save already. No REAL great things in there that are worth going back for I suppose? God... I hope not hehe. Thanks a lot for your help. I guess I'll just do it in my next game.

Erm ... there is one other way youcould do it ...

When you get to the blocks, there is a guy there that you could have killed by openning the room for the brainlessdead guys to get out. Then when he is dead, or in your case they are all dead, go to the blocks to the left, I have not been there for a while but here goes.

Push a few of the blocks on the left, some other blocks will go down, when all the blocks on the left are down, go to the ones on the right. Some of these blocks will push a block or two on the left up but all you need to do is go back and push it down again befor going on with the blocks on the right, just watch and listen, it will take 5 mins tops and you will have all that really cool stuff inside when you are finnished.
