    I've tried fire, bashing and hacking to get the ice doors to collapse. The only things left in this maze are the Doom Guards and us. Can someone provide a clue as to how to melt the doors?

    You get the amulets from a bunch of clerics, go up and you'll stumble upon them :) . They are right of those frozen thingies on the right but can't be reached that way

    Actually, the amulet that you need is a holy symbol of Auril. To get it, go to the ledge above the Remorhaz and the ice statues that are directly down the hall from the main enterance. There are 3 levers on the ledge pull all three to drop the rocks down below. One of the rocks will crack one of the ice statues (formerly soldiers from Neverwinter) and will allow you pick up the holy symbol. Once you have the holy symbol you can explore the rest of the area.
