Can't make Histachii brew

I have talked with the alchemist about making me a hitachii brew, and he said ok. Now everytime I talk to him he says "be patient, it takes time." I have slept and slept and in real time have waited about 3 days, and game time about 3 weeks. Still no brew. The handle to the south of the ziggerut (?) won't work for me. It is perpetually bent over. The handle to the north works, but nothing happens. I spoke with Neehro, he said nothing special except to bring him the brew when it's done. What am I missing?

Place the ingredients onto the correct table. I had this problem for an half an hour (real time). Then I noticed, that if a place the cursor about these tables a notice appears. It says about the usage of those tables.

 

I did as stated, but nothing happened. Which table? eastern or western? I put the imitation Mandrake root on both tables and waited for freakin' hours with nothing happening. What am I doing wrong? He just keeps telling me to wait. I even tried to kill his ass so I could use the switch, but you can't do that either.

 

There's the left and right tables. The stuff lying on the table, when you first "open" them, should give you a clue as to what goes where.

And all it takes is the root. I make one "normal" brew, first. Then replaced it, made a "fake" one, and put the normal root back.

You either have to have the chemistry skill, or the intimidate/bluff skill to do it. It has to be the guy with the skill, doing the work, either way; talking or flipping switches.

You may very well have a bug.
