[IMG] Thanks for the info. A d30 must look really funky. But an honest-to-goodness d100...WOW!

A d30 looks just like a d20. Only with a few more sides.

    [IMG] To Faragon:
I just couldn't pass this up (for 100).

A d1 looks just like a d20 with less sides.

    A d1 looks like a d20 without sides actually, because a d1 would be a ball.

Not really true, my dear love-to-bug-you Faragon...
A ball is an uncountable sided die. A d1 would be a ball cut in half. ;) :p

[IMG] i can't believe ur a player of icewind dale and never play dungeons and dragons rpg in your neighborhood....

3 sided dice...just like a pyramid....the chances of damage is 1-4....so 3 sided dice is weak...if you using it probably ur a mage or sorcerer..

Piramid is a four sided dice.

As for our English class today, we're learning the word you're, and we'll be looking at grammar as well.

IIRC, 1d3 is actually 1d4-1. At least that what was mentioned in the old D&D rulebook. If you think that the chances of getting a 3 is higher than a 1 or 2, you can use a d6, 1-2 is a 1 and so forth. But all a 1d3 really means is the range is 1-3.

That's probably not what he means.
    A d4 is a pyramid, a d2 is just flipping a coin, d6 is a cube. What FORM would a d3 have.

(Blast ye, Khelben! Gets me thinking all day.. ;) )

[IMG] A three-sided stick where the top and bottom triangles are unmarked. Of course, it'd always land on one side and the other two would be visible, so you'd have to say you rolled the number on the side you can't see.

Mmmh, I've been thinking about that, but that would be actually 5 sides but 2 don't count as sides. I works good enough.

(Still wondering what a 3 sided object would look like)

Not necessarily Tal, because you can mark the sides (the ones that don't count) just like a d4. Put 1, 2 or 3 on the Triangle's side of it's respective side. Look at a D4 and you'll see what I mean. (Because I'm blurry as hell today :D )

errr.. take 3 'leaf' shape side, stick them together and you'll get a d3, something looks like an american football.
