I've made a monk/paladin/sorcerer but will he keep his wisdom bonus to AC if he wears robe?

The monk WIS AC bonus is half of that class - if you don't use it, better use a fighter.

Put the WIS to max and use two weapons or a two-handed weapon with no armor - you can always use Mage Armor...

Yeah, I guess it all depends what his character really is.. Something tells me he may want to make a sorcerer. In that case, his points are better spent on CHA and DEX perhaps.

So what race will your sorcerer be?
I'd make him an Aasimar. Or perhaps a Drow is better (for the spell resistance) :D

Be sure to test his Evasion with robes. It may not work as I think the game is buggy in this area. If he needs to have no robes at all for evasion to work just get him a good pair of bracers and a ring of protection (I haven't found any good robes in this game anyway). The Shield spell is also necessary in any case if you want to use the sunfire tactic).
And having evasion will let be able to use all other area-effect spells (with reflex saves) centered on you, just like sunfire.

Hm... the manual never really stated this clearly... if my monks use weapons, what will he suffer besides not being about to use this Ki strike bonuses (if any)? And will his number of attacks per round suffer?

Like will he also take the penalty of not having his Wisdom modifiers added to AC?

And if he wears amour, besides the Wisdom modifier penalty, will he lost his Ki Strike bonus?

Anyway, I never really bothered to play a monk character more than level 15 because by that time, I already had such a bad experience trying to keep him alive that I restarted the whole game and replaced him with a Paladin, which I find much more efficient in dealing damage (in a "spiritual" sort of way). *grin*

I'm still in ch 1 in IWD2, and my first party has no monk, because my first PC in BG2 was a monk and they were just too damn powerful. I've taken a druid and a bard along for fun instead.

Giving up a monk on level 15 because he's a liability is like selling your shares you've held onto for years the day before *that* big deal just came in and they tripled in value....

From level 14-15 onwards there was no fighter perhaps other than dual wielding kensai that could stand the pace with a monk. Level 18 he was superior and level 21... lets just say it was easier to let everyone else just stand back or hack around the edges.
