I'm in the Dragon Eye Dungeon, i've opened the prison, i gave back the sword, cleared out the first and second floors, most of the third, and I'm stuck. How do you get the guy to make the brew? He just keeps saying something about putting it on the table, which I have done! I've even tried resting for a few weeks, and he never finishes! Please help me!

 

I assume none of your characters has a 15 Alchemy, because then you could do it yourself.

Also, you have threatened him into agreeing to make the stuff, right?

And placed it on the right table? There are two tables in the middle area that are used for alchemy. The lower middle one is for converting wyvern stingers into poison. You need four doses. The other table, on the right side of the middle, is for making histachii brew. You need to replace the mandrake root that is there with the modified mandrake root. They can not both be on the table at the same time and still have things work right.

Well, you aren't being explicit as to what you have done or not done - so it is difficult to know how to guide you but here goes.

With a 16 skill you can do it yourself. Put the fake mandrake root on the eastern most table (the one where there was mandrake root when you first entered the lab). You must have the scroll with the explanations on you, then go move the staff looking like thing (the lower one) out in the main area just before the lab itself. You will get a message you hear chains clinking (or something like that). Go back and get the potion - repeat as needed.

If you want him to do it, you must argue him into doing it for you (it is a simple script so you WILL know if he agrees). You must put the fake mandrake in place of the real mandrake. Then you MUST be patient (it took a long time) but eventually he will push the staff thingie and you will hear the same message about chains clinking - wait until it is finished and take the potion.

 

I have his help, and I know I have it, and still nothing. I have done all of this, several times, and still nothing. I put the root on the table, pull the lever, and nothing happens, except the green lights. Afterwards, I go to the table, and the root is still there, but nothing else is! I have waited for him to pull the lever, several times, but he doesn't help at all!

 

You definitely have the root on the correct table? The one is the center of the room, not one of the ones against the outside wall?

Any you have thrown the correct switch? There is one in the north and one in the south of the ziggurat room.

And you only have one mandrake root on the table when you throw the switch?
