First and foremost I would like to say hello to everyone around here since I'm new to these forums.

I created a new party which consists of the following characters:

    - Assimaar Fighter lvl 4 - will multi to paladin @ lvl 5
    - Gold dwarf Battleguard of Tempus lvl 4 - not to be multiclassed
    - Human Monk lvl 4 - not to be multiclassed
    - Drow Wizard lvl 4 - will multi to rogue @ lvl 10
    - Tiefling Diviner lvl 4 - not to be multiclassed

    Now to the problem:
My sixth character was to be one level of ranger (for dual wield and ambidex) and the rest druid. I overlooked the fact that not every alignment can multi to druid and made the mistake to create a lawfull good ranger.

I was wondering what you guys would do with this char ? I don't want to start over again (too easy ;p) and I don't want a single class ranger either.

    These are his stats:
    Strength 12
    Dexterity 18
    Constitution 18
    Intelligence 3
    Wisdom 18
    Charisma 7

Looking forward to your comments. Ery.

Use Dale Keeper II to change his alignment.

What race is your Ranger? If he is not either a Human or Half-Elf, you wouldn't be able to multiclass to a Druid even if he was Neutral aligned without suffering from xp penalties. Other than that, Druids rock and so would a Ranger/Cleric combo (but depends on the race). I see nothing wrong with using Dale Keeper to change his alignment but race is going to be very important factor in what you should do with him.

Thanks for the input. My Ranger is Human and I'm thinking of multiclassing him to Cleric. Any pointers I should keep in mind if I decide to do that ?

What about mixing in 1 level of Monk when multiclassing to cleric? That way you get the Wisdom dex bonus, and I guess with Ranger you can only fight 2 handed when not wearing good armour anyway.

I am creating a very similar toon, partly for rp reasons. He is a Cleric of Seleune, with 1 level of Ranger and 1 Level of Monk. I am using the EaseOfUse patch that lets me ignore alignment.

You could also use that EaseOfUse patch, and then develop him the way you intended, as a druid

1 level of monk will do you better than (almost) any armour you can find in normal mode (not HoF) with +4 to AC. Also, you'll get Evasion. Alternatively, you could get 2 levels in rogue, but that's not much point.

Taking cleric levels isn't really all so big a deal here.

In fact, multiclassing doesn't really seem to be a good idea for this character. Unless you stick to the monk level.

Shrikant, why Paladin3? I think the cha is too low to get any save bonuses. Unless you just want it for disease/fear resistence...

Barleycorn has a good suggestion. Download Wiemer's Ease of Use mod and install the no alignment restrictions section, and you can have your Ranger/Druid. It's probably a bit easier than Dalekeeper, but also a bit more of a cheat. I think Ranger/Druid is a stronger combo than Ranger/Cleric.

Alright, I went for the Ranger(1)/Druid combo after all. Changed the alignment with DaleKeeper (easy as hell).

Why I decided to make this char:

    - Ranger & Druid can both freely develop Animal Empathy and Wilderness Lore.
    - Dual wield (planning to use Dagger of Warding), can't use shield but Druid has Barkskin.
    - WIS, DEX and CON profits both Ranger & Druid.
    - Both classes operate well in leather armor.
    - By adding only this one level of Ranger my Druid now gets +1 to the base attack bonus, Ambidexterity and the Two weapon fighting feats, the martial weapon proficiency: Bow feat, and ofcourse a racial enemy.

That's about it, I think it makes sense no ?

Pally[3] gets absolute immunities to fear and disease.
But a high level Druid gets some immunities too.

    Eryendil
Dont bother with Animal Empathy, its of absolutely no use.

    @Eryendil
I think you made a good choice in going with Ranger/Druid. First off, I've heard that Wilderness Lore is only really useful in Chapter 3 (Fell Woods). Secondly, bump up Spellcraft. You need 10 Spellcraft points in order to take the elemental feats which boost your elementally casted spells. My druid just got the one associated with Fire and it makes the Flame Strike spell so much nicer ;)
