Bring back dead

    [​IMG] I've only just started playing bg, upto 2nd chapter.One of my members have died how do i bring them back to life.I do not have a mage or a cleric.

    Just go to a temple and pay a priest to resurrect your member.

    P.S. Raising dead is very expensive, so you should concider loading and trying again without getting killed.

    Indeed it is, and even if you had a cleric in your party, he would have to be able to cast level 5 spells to raise dead. But you realy should consider having a cleric or a mage in your party of some sort. They aren't necessary per say, but they can make the game easeir at least, and more enjoyable IMO.

    Also if you dont have TOTSC the XP cap makes it so you cant reach the level where you can cast raise dead.

    [​IMG] You can buy a bunch of the raise dead scrolls and have any cleric cast them though... If I remember right it's much cheaper than paying the temple to raise dead.

    Am I remembering wrong or did the price go up as my character levels went up? Best I remember it was 1,000 gp and I think it was higher late in the game.

    It is only 100 gold if you are only level 1. The price goes up with your character's level.

    Ok, I've started BG for this.... Loaded a savegame of my party witch is about level 4. Went to the priest in FAM. 600 gold pieces a Raise Death costs here.

    Before I looked the 1000 gp seems also the right price for me... I don't know if I have to pay 1000 later in the game but I doubt. Maybe 1000 is the price in BG2? When you start the game you pay only 100 gold, but isn't that only in the temple of Oghma?

    [​IMG] Another thing to consider, Imao...., is whether Kagain is dead or destroyed. If his picture is greyed-out he is dead and can be raised. If his picture has disappeared entirely he is destroyed and cannot be raised. If he is destroyed, you will have to reload to recover him.

    As your level goes up so does the cost of ressurection. Multi-class characters also cost a lot (level 3/3 fighter druid would cost about twice as much to ressurect as a single class level 3 character)
