I have voted Keldorn because:
A: you seem to have a mostly good party.
B: I think Anomen is pathetic
C: I also think that fighter/cleric is a useless dualclassing.
D: Keldorn has orange plate

However it purely depends upon your own preference, and you allready have a paladin in your party.

btw the viconia romance is hard but very rewarding

 

If you get Keldorn you will have to dump Viconia becouse he hates her and will attack her. Stupid ****er.

 

Anomen is far from pathetic. Short of hacked characters, he is one of the strongest characters available to you in SoA (18/52 STR; Minsc & Korgan are stronger).

Fighter/Clerics are not to be underestimated. Depending on when they dual-classed, their THAC0, HP and proficiencies are quite good. Throw in the priest spells and you've got yourself a very useful and powerful character.

IMO, the only thing Keldorn has over Anomen is his innate abilities (true sight, protection from evil, dispel magic) but those are hardly reasons to immediately pick him over Anomen because Anomoen has those spells and they last longer as those are based on level. Personally, I'm not overly fond of paladins as they are tough to roleplay. I've had easier times roleplaying druids.

Since it appears that you are going to romance Viconia, then what B.B. Ranger said was right -- Keldorn will tolerate Viconia to a point and then attack her after giving you enough fair warning. He is a paladin after all and she is neutral evil.

Both have poor dexterity and both needs Gauntlets or sorta... But while Keldorn becomes:

Anomen becomes:
STR:18/52
DEX:18 (gauntlets)
CONST:16
INT:10
WIS:16 (+4 of his quest)
CHA: 18 (the ring of Waukeen's quest)

Overall Anomen wins. With a little yes, but still wins... Perfect party leader I would have put him if I haven't my Cavalier protagonist... Keldorn is nice chr, but I wanna keep Viocnia and make an alignment change, not kill her...

Screw them both and get Jaheira, she's heads above them both, can't stand none of those goody-two-shoes myself...

 

Two paladins? I bet they'll fight who will get Carsomyr. It's not very good roleplaying anyway. Take Jaheira. Second priest, third fighter (with iron skins), good summoner.

 

Anomen would get you a priest finally. From what I've heard he's also a good fighter (plus as dualled from fighter he is entitled to grand mastery in weapons). Personally I prefer Jaheira or Aerie though. If you like her, Viconia is the best priest available.

 

If you pick Keldorn, you will have 2 Paladin, with ONLY one Holy Avenger

If you pick Anomen, you will have 2 Cleric (him and Viconia), with is just as bad, plus, he's very annoying

So just screw them both and get someone else

 

Pick Anomen, because you are a Paladin. Ano can get up to 5 stars in any weapon he wants.

Keldorn's Dispel Magic is incredibly useful because it is cast at twice his actual level.

 

Maybe I'll take both without Vioconia...

I think that Keldorn is much better though, because Anomen is really annoying and has a lousy wisdom until his upgrade, especially for a cleric.

In your situation, it is best for you to skip them both and take Valygar or someone else. You really don't need 2 paladins nor 2 clerics.

 

I wouldn't take Viconia even without Keldorn, as her turning (since she's evil) doesn't work as well as a neutral or good priest's. I'd keep both Keldorn and Anomen -- Anomen has cleric spell capability, while Keldorn has no choosable spells, which limits his flexibility a bit. Your other Paladin will have 4th level spells, but the 5+ cleric spells are really good. As for fighting over Carsomyr, there are plenty of other good weapons the other paladin could use -- Lilacor, the silver sword, etc. I know these are not +5 weapons, but they are pretty good!

 

Huh? AFAIK the turning is just as good, the only difference is that instead of destroying undead you gain control over them.

 

I would go for both Keldorn and Viconia, just like I had Minsc and Edwin in my party. This two pairs will find a reason to kill eachother eventually. But when it happened, I just reload the game and it didn't happen again. At least not at the place. Kind of cheating but I want to have all this 4 characters in my party as I think they are powerful.

 

I would say take some one else besides either of them (2 palidins or 2 clerics? Blah.....). I would take some really heavy fighter, (hmmmm... kelgorn, that was his name right? the little, evil, bloodthirty dwarf [oh, a good party- never mind]) but a more spells might be nice (some one like..... aire?) but hey.

 

You already have a paladin, why get a second one? I would take Anomen or Jahira for the priest spells with Jahira being the preferable option as she can cast Natures Beauty (blind with no save).Also I would replace Nalia with Edwin or Aerie (and her romance ) for more spells, Nalia is essentially the same as Imoen. that would leave you with three decent fighters (just use a few combat boosting spells on Anomen or Jahira.

Maybe I wouldn't need 2 clerics, but I'll need Anomen mainly for a Fighter not for a Cleric... Yes, I know he is a decent Cleric, but his stats are excellent for Fighter and why not taking him... Yes, you'll tell me - Korgan Bloodaxe is here, but I wanna play with good chrs. Viconia? Viconia is an evil, yes, but your reputation can't overcome 18 and she won't leave for solidarity because you saved her life... Thanks however...
