To join with Bodhi or the Shadow Thieves?

    I'm a level 12 sorc with Minsc, Korgan, Viconia, Yoshi and Edwin.

    My sorc is Chaotic Neutral.

    I'd like to know peoples thoughts on joining with Bodhi or the Shadow thieves.

    I'm tempted to join with Bodhi simply because of the the 5000gp saving.

    Also, if i start chapter 3 do i lose the ability to complete Chapter 2 quests?

    I'll try to answer both your questions in a helpful way while giving away as little as possible.

    1) The Shadow Thieves or Bodhi choice is a true roleplaying decision. My criteria is the alignment of the party I'm going with at a particular game. If you want to feel the water, keep a savegame at the juncture at which you have to decide. From that savegame, you can take the opportunity to hear out both Gaelan Bayle and Bodhi to hear what each has to offer.

    2) Anything you can do in Chapter 2 you can do once you've made your way back from where Imoen was taken away to.

    I think if you wait a little while, Gaelan comes to you to say that the offer is now 15000gp. I've never taken bodhi's missions, so I'm not sure if the above is true, but I'm told that bodhi's is more difficult

    I am definetly for the thieves.
    The missions are (except maybe the last one) easier, especially the second.

    You can do chapter 2 quests whenever you wish.

    Serving Bodhi gives more rewards (trinkets and stuff) but i think it gives you a lot less exp for kills (vampires give a lot more xp of course). All in all i liked working for bodhi cause you can get a nice katana +2 quite early and you have easy access to the mace of disruption. Remember that if you choose bodhi and you are a thief and have the guild Renal WILL disappear and if you loose the guild you won't be able to get it back....

    Actually, from what i remember, if you are a thief, Bodhi says something about how you are already allied with the Thieves and you never get to join her, leaving you with Gaylin. Also, both prices are 15,000.

    I usually go for theives, but going with Bodhi saves you from fighting so many annoying vampires, especially on the island, and the third mission.
