I uninstalled the game and I want to reinstall it but it reads that some of the game is still installed, every time I try to run the setup it gives me the option to uninstall first, again and again. I'm guessing some files are still in the registry or something. What can I do about it? Also, every time I ran the game, it created a blank copy of the game's folder, which I can't ever delete, I have about 5 of them (that's why I unistalled in the first place).

That happened to me too. Just rename the old SOA folder to something like M or cookie and it'll work.

I doesn't work! Here's what I get "Cannot read from the source file or disk", either if I want to delete or rename! And why does the game create blank copies of the folder that I can't delete?!?!?

I already went through that web page, it actually got my installation working. I still can't delete the empty folder the previous installation created. There is nothing I can do about it, and the issue is not addressed at BioWare. They just say to manually delete the previous installation folder, which I can't do: "Cannot read from source file or disk"!

You need to remove the registry entry.
Press Start (left bottom corner), and Run: enter regedit and you'll get a list of reg entries.
You can find BGII under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - Bioware Corp, delete that folder.
    You can also use Regcleaner.

Try deleting the folder using command prompt.
