No, Lesbos is in the Aegean sea, while Thermodon is near Samsun in the coast of Black Sea.

Tehee, Lesbos, reminds me of Lesbians. Island of Lesbians, is that where you ship all your female homosexuals? :D

Goddammit, back to topic, stupid Caleb.

Well, I think that this is pure bull****. I am against plastice surgery exept in extreme cases like burn damages, cancer operations, and the like. Not some ****ing lip surgery, so I think that this is just another letdown by "the best nation in the world."

When there is a lot of money (Thankee Bush! ;) ), there will be a lot of waste too. For example: "America's Army" game, funded by U.S.Military.

    And it's bad too. :shake:

I've noticed here and there that some of the comments have been off-topic, and not quite in the spirit of the Alley. No more please.

@Wirhe - When there is a lot of money? Have you not noticed that the US has been in recession since shortly after Bush came into office?

I apologize for the storm of Amazonian education. I was simply making a point about combat. In any case, when it comes to reconstructive facial surgery, I'd want someone working on me with lots of experience, so the more nose jobs and facelifts he's worked on the better, IMHO, if he's going to reconstruct a severely disfigured soldier. Health care dollars are spent in all sorts of weird ways; this, to me, is a drop in the bucket and not worth getting peeved over (though it IS pretty funny.)

However, why don't they spend their time on reconstructive surgery or - even better - 'improvements' combat wise?

Its actually a good idea, it would act as a very effective deterrent.

"You wouldn't shot me! I have big boobs!"

    It would encourage kidnappings though.

That is odd, considering that the news told only a few monts back that he had given a billion buck increase to military funding, and just think how much money they must have pumped to those Afghanistan and Iraq operations (...and bombing the hell out from the civilians...) That money could had been used to give a new leg or a helping hand to that vietnam fellow. :D

Bah, all this just is plain silly
Let those army medics go and spend their time productively for, say, American civilians if they need surgery experience...
Getting a boob job on tax-payers money is an affront and it shows all to well that society is degenerating....
Some world I am growing up in. pffft.

It's rather disgusting how well funded the US military is. And free boob jobs? wtf, I want a free boob job!
I was actually reading an article in a magazine (for some horrible reason) that detailed the equipment the US army was using in the war on Iraq. Just the equipment each individual soldier had was insane! 80$ boots? That's just weird. I still don't understand why the US military doesn't just use a huge army of genetically engineered gorillas to accomplish their goals. It would be cheaper that what they're doing now. Sheesh. . .

This is :yot: , but I just wanted to mention how much I miss the old US Army commercials... I can't stand these new "Army of One" things. The "Be All You Can Be" ones actually were a good bit inspiring.
