[IMG] I decided to go with Bodhi on this quest and turn against the Shadow Thives. So far so good although I have the third part of the quest to do. Do people think it's better to go with the vampires or the thieves?I have the feeling that the vampires will betray me anyway!

I wanted to go with the vamps this time through, but I ended up playing an Undead Killer, so for the sake of RPing I went with the thieves.

Choose whatever you want. But beware of the bug that can occur if you play on Bodhi's side.

And whatever you choose you'll finally end up fighthing Bodhi.

i would never deal with the non dead if my life depended on it!
i would always (being Sir Dargorn) go with the shadow theifs as at least they are slightly less evil...

I'm a big fan of Anne Rice so I usually side with vampires. Besides, you get better equipment that way and you don't have to fight som many vampires early on.

Avooch Dar, I assume you mean undead, because the non-dead would be the living, unless I am mistaken. You do get better equipment from the vamps? What do you get, I don't mind a spoiler.

As well as the items you get from Aran Linvail you can get the Stonefire Axe or something like that(not the one that deals fire damage) and you can kill Linvail and take his Sylvan Chainmail(elven chainmail +1) and you can loot the vampires place for the usual. There are also minor +2 stuff and such not worth remembering.

That mail sucks (AC 4, not usable by mage or druid).

Extremist, it is usable by mage/thiefs like Nalia, Imoen and Jan and I believe Aerie can wear it too. If you join Bodhi, you'll get the chainmail early in the game, where you can use it, if you join the shadowthiefs, you'll get one in Suldanessellar, but then you'll have better equipment.

My first time through I joined the Shadow Thiefs, it was cool, but I hated all those attacks, made by vampires, when I crossed the city. And I hate their attacks, so this time I went with Bodhi and, luckily, the bug didn't show up. I can go to Brynnlaw, but I'm going to get some XP now. At least the Vamps show more hospitality: They offer their lair to rest with your party, something the Shadow Thiefs never did!

If you side with Bodhi you will get to kill Mook and a Helper, the Helper has a enchanted throwing axe +3 that returns to hand once thrown
