Here are a list of artists and bands I can't stand:

The Rasmus - They are at the top of the list because there music is the worst **** I have ever heard in my life. - Yeah, pooh .
D12 - Unbearable - They can be OK
Natasha Bedingfield - Untalented crap .
Green Day - I can't stand that "American Idiot" ****. - They are pretty poor yeah. But some of their older songs are ok .
    Nelly - Trash
    Robbie Williams - Trash
Scissor Sisters - Garbage... but quite catchy garbage .
Muse - I like some of their tracks. Need to listen to more of em
Slipknot - Thought they were good at one point. One or two OK songs, rest garbage .
Snow Patrol - Brilliant. Love these guys .
Franz Ferdinand - They are OK, nothing special. Couldn't listen to a whole album of theirs
Jet - Never heard of em
The Music - Never heard of em
Lostprophets - I quite like these

[IMG] @Aikanaro After Forever just rule! The reason why you do like the screams and grunts there is because of the contrast they have with Floor's voice and the violins. At least I think that's the reason why :p

IMHO Death and Black metal is cool, but it's not the best music to study by...

If there was ever a post made about SleeplesS' favourite bands, just copy and paste, dear friends.

Most things, I just don't care to vocalise. I like my music, and dislike things that I don't associate with musical talent.

Bwahahaha! But you are wrong! I like the screams and grunts in After Forever. However, screams on their own without the After Forever style, I find to suck. Contrast is good.
I especially like them in Yield to Temptation - the bit at the beginning where it's only screams and growls :rolling:

And I think I quite like grunts and may look further into death metal, but goth interests me more. :)

@Aikanaro Am I the only After Forever Fan we don't like Yield to Temptation that much? I mean It's a nice song but they got a lot of stuff that's way better (Like Beyond me!)

@Baezlebub well After Forever (and AntiProduct) are my fav. Live bands, On cd's I rather listen to things like Cradle Of Filth and Fintroll. I do have all After Forever cd's though and really like them but for some reasson's I wan't to see them... Going way off topic now!

Crappy pop music like Aaron Carter, Nsync and all that other poppy crap that pervades every nook and cranny of today's popular culture.

    Rap music of course!
Female pop singers like Brittney Spears (and they're many...i'm mean only musically eheh).
British pop music like Oasis, Coldplay, James, etc...
And the not so international Portuguese "Pimba" music...if you don't know it (oh i envy you so much) try to imagine a music with the same simple pattern all the time and a chorus repeated to the exaustion with really lame lyrics by a very lousy singer. But the most scary thing is that they sell like hell here in Portugal!

@Enagonios: Techno: what was Depeche Mode, Erasure and kind; Dance what today is called rave: the "tunchy tunchy" sound.
Rap: well, is a very wide option; I like old fashion rap: RUN DMC or the rappers delight song kind of; but these days there are 40457890 guys who sing the same, with all the same videos (a bunch of guys with NFL, NBA, etc clothes and a bunch of semi-naked girls).
I hate cumbia, a music style in Argentina, is a boom, like those 4-5 girl/boy group (kinda Backstreet Boys) but they play something I hope you never listen. I don't like the "Blink 182 style and likes, nowadays, nobody do music, they do business...

The Problem with rap is that the good stuff (apart from Eminem) is not aired. Bands like The Roots, Dilated People or Jurassic 5 do not stand a chance against the flood of cheap produced gangsta or pimp rap which is overflooding the tv and radio stations. (Even the Black Eyed Peas are already higly suspicious.)

Worst thing is that there are german idiots who reproduce that scheme. I absolutly LOATHE that §$="41 13%Ä:*äö§$%" Sido. (I had to say that. I feel better now)

Gospel. I just can't stand it. Any other type of music I can handle, no matter what it is, but there's something about gospel that makes me want to cut my ears off and stuff them in the cavities.

metallica and that kinda metal band who spend massive amounts of time playing pretentious solos and fiddly show-off guitar that sounds cliche anyway.

Boybands, Nu-metal, Trance, House, Techno, R&B, Rap, Beatles, Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan (I am probably going to get death threates for the last 3 but it has to be said that Bob Dylan cannot sing).

Apart from that I like everything from Irish folk music to classical to black metal.

Can I ask what Midwinter means by 'Pagan Rock' as this could cover many of rock's sub genres.
