I don't know if anyone's ever done this, but here's what I have my party doing now.
    PC - Monk
Yoshi - Dualed to a Fighter
    Keldorn - Pally
    Aerie - Cleric/mage (PC)
    Jaheria Druid/Mage (Keldorn)
    Cernd - Shapeshifter (Yoshi)

Now that's the basic party. What I did is edit The "healer's" scripts a little so they stand behind their respective "fighters" as listed above and only use missle weapons to attack. Now whenever their "fighters" take more than 25% dammage they heal them, and also remove any bad spell affects cast on them. Now if any of the "healers" are directly attacked (melee) their fighters will instantly stop what they are doing and help fight off whatever is attacking their "healer".

So far it's been a great setup because I only need to keep track of 3 characters instead of 6 and I can use the other 3 "healers" for special things like spellcasting whenever I need to. :rolling:

Nope never have but that's a brilliant idea. I wonder if that would work for B.G.1? If so do you know the edit link?

A very useful script. Although IMO the game looses half of the charm.
I like to suddenly realize that my fighter only has 8 hitpoints left and have to find out a way to distract the attackers and try to heal him before that last arrow ends his life.
    But that´s just me :)

I haven't messed around with the way BG1 works so I wouldn't know. :rolling:
