[IMG] Purchased a Radeon x700 a number of months ago. Everything worked fine until I decided to give Knights of the Old Republic a spin and discovered a flickering, multicoloured 'checkerboard' pattern covering most everything - character models, background, weapons. Bloody annoying to put up with, though it didnt seem to affect the game in any other way.

Since then I've noticed the same problem, to a lesser degree, in Deus Ex 2, Bloodrayne and Morrowind. (Adventure Buff :D )
The effect only seems to occur in Morrowind on the water - and then only when pixel shading is enabled.

No one has yet been able to help me besides suggesting the latest Radeon drivers (no effect, by the way) and I'm not hardware-savvy enough to mess with any settings without at least an idea of what I'm looking for.

So I'll put out the call - can anybody help me?

    Try some older drivers instead.

Do those games require pixel shaer 3.0? If so there is a good chance your video card maybe the culprit.
