Most would say Jan Jansen is funniest, or Minsc but I like Anomen. There are so many layers behind that facade of his, his arrogance is funny.

    Most useless weapon: Club

    Worst Kit: Jester I imagine

Best NPC: For characterisation Anomen, but for effiency in the game Edwin... also have you ever tried leaving Minsc out of the party?? It's impossible.

Nope, i think that u r wrong about the most useless weapon.

it is most deffinately the o-so-deadly dart as the most useless

(come on, you guys could have been alittle more creative with level 2... woohoo, i'm still a goblin[sarcastic tone])

Say funnies npc be a duo (trio?) of Minsc, Boo & Lilarcor
    sequence:
-No effect? I need a bigger sword!
-Choke up! Your grip is all wrong!
    ----
Dart be useless? Well, there be different type of dart, some are pretty useful if ye have a *Haer'dalis* to throw those; most useless be sling, IMO

har'(whatever his name is) just is 2 weak so i don't use him. And some slings can come in handy. i have nalia with a +2 sling w/+2 bullets and she can handle some people alone. still think darts just take up room in the inventory. then again, i don't have ne1 to chunk'em at people.

well I have to say the best npc is Korgan, he say lots o cool stuff.

The most useless weapon has been said,
    The Dart.

The stupidest kit is. . .
    Wizard Slayer
I don't konw what kind of an IDIOT came up with that sort of an idea, come on, 1% MR a level really sux, there are really no benifits to that kit

that Haer'Dalis or whatever really sux all he does is sound like an idiot

    hmmmm...

didn't even read the discription of the wizard slayer when i choose, but that really does suck.
i think that i will agree with you on the stupidest kit(jester in close contention)

I'd say the most useless weapon would be either the wakizashi or the ninja-to. I've yet to hear of someone using them, nor have I seen/heard of one that is greater than a +1 weapon.

As for the worst kit, that would probably be either the Beastmaster, or Avenger Druid. I haven't played either, but they seem to be less appealing than any other.

Feel you on the goblin thing ;)... Korgan is a good NPC but not as funny as Edwin, looking forward to my evil party soon.

    Most useless Kit: Beast Master.

Only wood weapons??? Unless this is a game based on the - as lame as the kit - TV show, it is 100% useless.

*** The demilich is closing on my party. I had better grab my club, summon a few ferrets, and protect my friends!!!! ***

The most useless class: Wizard slayer

The most useless weapon: Scimitar (the only scimitar that is better then +2 is on Drizzt)never found and Wakizashi or ninjato that is better then +1.

The most entertaining charater is Minsc or Jan.

There are a multitude of kits that suck, but druids, it seems, excel in uselessness. My vote goes to the Avenger Druid.

The most entertaining character; Edwin. His arrogance and low esteem for all other living creatures is quite amusing... In my opinion, he is also the "best" NPC in the game.

The most useless weapon; the throwing-knives.

    Funniest NPC...
Don't want to jump on the bandwagon but Minsc is pretty dang funny, with Jan falling closely behind.
    Most Useless Weapon...
Sure throwing knives and darts aren't all that damage inflicting, but with good speed factors they can be used to get some qucik damage in. Sometimes battles are fought in really cramped places and you can't get everyone to the front to fight. If your mage is silenced what is he going to do, sit there? No, have them through some darts if they don't have vocalize. Darts of wounding and darts of stunning are not bad. I will agree that there are less situations that call for them, but I would not call them "useless".
    Most pathetic kit...
None of them! The question is more like what is everyone's least favorite kit. None of the kits are "pathetic".
    Best NPC...
I still can't decide on this one. I like them all, well except Hoshimo. ;)

    Most would easily say:
Carsomyr/Celestial Fury be the best weapon

Hell, i be liking FireTooth +3 much more!
2D4 damage (bastard sword has same)
    +1 fire
    speed factor - 1
    throwing (!!!)
    what'd you say?
haerdalis is the coolest to me mind
he can do a lot of stuff and doesnt ask for salary :)

    useless kit:
    Priest of God
    Advantages: can walk on water
    Disadvantages: cannot cast priest spells
    :) :) :)

When a fighter can hit a wizard it's typically game over for the wizard so what good is the increased spell failure?

    LOL, Earl Grey!!
Well, not exactly. If that wizard by chance has a Tenser's Transformation memorized, or he is a Kensai/Wisard, he stands a good chance.

[IMG] Well, once the fighter hits a mage he'll keep hitting him, right? So that means the mage will likely get interrupted when trying to cast spells.

Contingency - Stone Skin - xx % damaged could work, but not if the weapon does extra damage like for example Flail of the Ages.

Tenser's Transformation is a nice idea, but when transformed he can't cast spells anyway, so casting failure is of little importance then.

Kensai/Wizard means we have a melee on our hands. Dale The Red makes a practical point.. not too many K/M in the game.
Even so, if a Fighter starts hitting it probably means the K/M will not get off anymore spells. Then it comes down to #attacks, THAC0, AC and HP's.

Come on, tell me what I missed!

WHAT?? Mages can easily withstand fighters, some of the level 4 protective spells are great, the later levels offer awesome protective spells. What if protection from normal weapons is cast? One death spell and its game over for the fighter!!!!

And Another thing: Proect image will basically duplicate the mage with all spells available. better than the transformation spell in my eyes becuase I found the image can attack too.
