Hated it. Remove those silly 'Let's see, I need to break these bars so I can get into the ventilation shaft, then I'll shoot a box filled with explosives from here. The box will blow up, taking a piece of the wall with it, so I can climb out from here, walk to the spot where the wall blew up, and continue with the game.' and it would've been good. I'd just like to know how people living in the place get to their jobs in the morning. 'I'll just pass through this garbage incinerator, hoping I won't die inside, then do a few 20 feet jumps and turn right at the street lights.' And this would be the 'best case' scenario.

I think that the only bad thing about JK2 is that you can choose to become a dark jedi:(

BTW Wildfire do you play online?

[IMG] I was wondering when someone might mention this game. I just started recently. The game really is very good. Yeah, sure, the post-imperial physical plants aren't necessarily "realistic", but I've yet to play a FPS/adventure type game that was any good that was particularly realistic in that regard. Thank God. Anyway, it stays true to the SW genre as far as all the environments go. A really good game. Can't really say any more about it.

Only play MP, think they should make the darkside more powerfull, because they are cool. Lightside rules...

No way! Grip especially annoys me, particularly on levels like ns_streets and such like. And now with heal taking up half your force for 25 health, which isn't a particularly good deal in my opinion, it's even harder for lightside guys.

The dark side is indeed more powerfull than the light.

I don't think grip is that good, but drain is VERY overpowered it doesnt give the opponent a fair chance!

But besides that it's indeed the best SW game released so far.

[IMG] I'm having the same problem. After I destroy the last AT-ST on the final artus mine stage (Artus_surface or somethinglike that if i remember correctly) my game exits. It is infuriating and has forced me to play Freedom Force instead. ARGGGHHHH

  13. I just tried MP .. Dueling rocks.. especially without forces and throw.. It could be cool if someone from this board could find a server and just play, play and play

    Yay, a JK2 post.

Jedi knight two is cool, and to those who think the "old-skool" method makes a game poor, how about they just make the WHOLE game a single straight line, fill it with enemy's, and thats it.

Bah 3d shooters. After MotS's near perfect single player missions why bother playing anything else (unless you tell me there are more force power only levels in jk2). I got bored killing ppl in 3d during quake's hey day. Give me a good rpg, rts or space flight sim any day.

JKII is certainly good, but I have a few gripes about the single player game:

    1. Using your speed force ability in conjunction with fast / quick / whatever blue style is called trivialises ALL boss encouters. When I killed Desann, all I lost was 5% shield when he zapped me a bit, and about 2% health for the half second he managed to grip me. Seriously, it was so easy, I was convinced I was only half-way through the game right up until the end.

    2. Some of those puzzles are SO stupid. It's never clear whether that near-impossible jump leads to a secret area, or just the next section of the plot. Another thing that really annoyed me was that certain parts of the game call for backtracking and doing other things, whereas others do not, and it's never immediately obvious which is the case. I must have spent HOURS in pointless backtracks because I missed an exit somewhere. And what's the deal with the hole in the cliff behind a waterfall, concealed by a bush, underwater in a swamp on one of the final stages?!? I combed the entire zone for well over two hours before I quit, looked it up, and FINALLY moved on.

Multiplayer is a different matter. Whether you're playing against human opponents or just on your own against some bots, it's a heap of fun. I personally think the Dark Side has the upper hand, but that's probably due to the fact that I never really mastered Protect / Absorb / Mind Trick. The flak gun seems a bit overpowered, too, but it's still a very good game.
