Halo..Good or Bad?

I, myself love Halo. It is an incredibly game, but everyone I asked has eithwer loved it or hated it. Anywho..to the topic at hand..how many of you love it and how many of you hate it?

 

Hate - with a passion

 

A bit of both. Hate the single-player, but love multi-player. Only after a few beers though

 

I don't love it and i don't hate it. I've played it for a while now, and to me it'just another shooter, nothing out of the extra ordinary. I've seen better and i've seen worse.

I've never played it with less than 4 players at once, so all I can say is: Multiplayer is Fantastic!!!!

There's nothing more fun than lining up a friend of yours head in the crosshairs of the sniper rifle and gently squeezing the trigger...Unless it's firing the rocket launcher into a dark alcove and watching a body fly out of it!

as said before multiplayer rules, single player blows...I own it for just that reason

 

Halo is pretty good, I like it generally. People said it was the greatest FPS ever, but this was a bit overstated. The physics and graphics are great, and multiplayer is great too, especially cooperative. It fits the pace of the game to have more than just you against the world. I think so many hat eit because they don't like x-box/Microsoft, and the level design gets repetitive. Otherwise it really is a great game. Can't wait for Halo2.

 

Good game, but I think that the controls are a little ... well ... ENORMOUS!! I wonder if it is X-Box's way of censoring the game. You have to have grown up hands to even hold the controller.

But that is just against X-Box itself. Like the rest said. Multi good, single bad.

Yeah, the controls sucks, but that is an XBOX related issue.

Now, on the Halo Issue, I agree with Lost Drizzt and Malovae, the singleplayer SUCKS, but the multi is the best ever seen.

 

Co-op play and multi is great yeah. Although i can't see why so many people say its one of the best games ever. It's just another repetative FPS at the end of the day. So in conclusion...In principle i hate the God-damn game! Just because there are so many people out there who have never played any decent RPG's like the BG'S, and say it is one of the best games they have ever played!
But it is quite good...for an FPS.
Hmm this gives me an idea for a post...

 

**** POSSIBLE SPOILER *** -not really if you ask me...

I liked the game up to the point where flood was relased, soon after that it got boring, runing from A to B and then back, shooting same enemies over and over again... Last "level" UGH, so lame, I hated it, but finished it...

 

I absolutely love this game, co-op and multi-player are certainly the best aspects of it. I agree that the controls are a bit fiddley at first, but after ten minutes you get to grips with it.

 

I personally think its an awsome game, the story sucked but thats not what bungie were focusing on - physics are brilliant and the attention paid to AI was incredible (I think anyway) weapons were perfect, not any OTT "Big Mumma 3million" rocket launchers or whatever. Co-op is excellent and each time you play levels nothing is ever truly played out the same; oh of course the path you take is, but fights are always new and you end up with some great struggles worthy of telling. Multi-player is also astounding, especially if 2 xbox's are linked for 8 player Halo - Oh yes...
