Hey, what's up everyone? I'm new here and I've got a question about The Punisher for PC. Hopefully someone can help me out.

When I install The Punisher, everything is fine when I go to SETUP; it detects my nVidia video card, the sound test works fine, and I have DirectX 9.0 (and I need at least DirectX 8.1). But then when I click on PLAY, it goes to a black screen like it's going to load something, but then this error message pops up:

    Direct3D Initialization Error

    Failed to initialize Direct3D device D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE (8876086a)

Anyone have any idea as to what I should do? My video card is an nVidia GeForce4 MX 4000.

Since it is a DirectX problem, I suggest you type "dxdiag" to 'Run' prompt and see if there are any problems.

Go to the "Run" command from the start menu, then type "dxdiag" into the box, then click "ok"
