Namely baldurdash and from that the multiple strongholds bugfix and from that the Nalia.dlg file which prevents you from having another stronghold with the fighter stronghold.

Why? Mainly because two strongholds is pretty neato, secondly the bugfix is implemented pretty poorly RP-wise. It changes the dialogue, but cuts the corners too fast. At one moment Nalia's waiting for you to take up on her offer to control the keep, and at the next she's acting like all she was offering was to join with you if you turned her down before.

And the positive dialogue option which you can say is poorly written.

I don't like it when your hands are tied this way and with poor yarn for that matter...

I was thinking of just getting my hands on an unfixed Nalia.dlg file and copypasting it over the bugfixed file. Would this work?

The BG2 Tweakpack has a multi-stronghold component that includes the option of only allowing the player to gain stronghold for classes they have. So, if you are dual classed or multi-classed you can pick up both strongholds. The multi-stronghold option in the BG2Tweakpack is also coded up more tightly than the version found in the older Ease of Use mod (which was incorporated into BG2Tweaks with the author's permission).

Also, if you are just interested in a basic fixpack, the BG2 Fixpack hosted at http://www.gibberlings3.net/bg2fixpack/ is a good option. It is a community effort and is still supported. If you don't like a particular fix, make a post in its forum and you should get instructions on how to skip that fix.

Thanks Caedwyr! But I worked my way out of it and as to te master of the Keep.

I went and removed the Nalia.dlg file from the override folder, loaded the game and talked to Nalia. Bingo. That did the trick. Now I've got two strongholds.

Now all I have to do is watch and wait if this'll rebound in some nasty manner later on, but there were no immediate adverse effects so far...
