Doh, what kind of a question is that? Obviously it's the Staff of the Magi. I'd be invisible, protected from evil (ha! no more demons in this world for me eh!), and I could actually cast lightnings and fireballs all my life, just 3 times per day tho. But I think that's enough.

Edit: Other option would be the Cloak of Sewers. The shapechange into rat could come in handy. Troll even more so. No more wounds that could end my life.

And don't tell me I can't use either. Obviously the entire idea is that I can, use, any, item.

Wish Scroll. Nothing, and I mean *Nothing* can top that. It is the most powerful thing in that world, except for the gods. You could do anything.

Ring of Invisibility, Gauntlets of Dexterity, and Ras, The Dancing Sword are all serious considerations. So is the Staff of the High Forest. So many choices...

Damn! This is a hard one... I think I would want the Gauntlets of Dex, or the Blackrazor. It's hard to decide....

I'd want to be the only person in the world who could make potions of regeneration/elixir of health. Not only would I get to help people, but I'd get rich and famous for doing it.

Ring of Human Influence would be second runner up. Especially if modified to work online and over the phone.

Honorable mention goes to bag of holding. Could we make that car trunk of holding, closet of holding, bookshelves of holding, and hard drive of holding as well?

Tough choice between Ring of Human Influence and Staff of the Magi for the reasons stated already.

Don't forget the Ring can also cast Charm Person once a day! : ;)

Hmm, the Horn of Valhalla would be pretty nifty! Summon a murderous berserker warrior with an axe x1 per day! Either that or a scroll of imprisonment..

If I could only have one though I'd definatley take that Ring of Human Influence.

BTW, can you bring gold with you? If so I'd just take 1,000,000 or so gp, which would be worth god knows how much $$$ in US currency.

Bag of Holding or Ring of Human Influence. Cloak of The Sewers would be nice too.

i think there's one item with simulacrum, don't remember which one: send your simulacrum to work while you take some holiday :)

Remember 2 things though. Scrolls can only be used once, as you can hardly memorize them.

And second, simulacrum makes a copy of you that has 70% of your level/experience/etc. So you can be expecting to "work" with a 1/3:rd deficienc. :)

Seriously though, I forgot about the haste and invisibility in the Ring of Gaxx. So I'd take that one. Afterall, even though the Staff of the Magi would allow a lot, it wouldn't make your death any more difficult. And most of all, it'd be hard to carry around. A ring would be nice and subtle, allow for an absolutely huge regeneration (think how much hp:s any of us ordinary people have, you could get your guts ripped off and be ok in 10 seconds again :) ), the occational Improved Haste (again useful in dangerous/emergency situations as well as when you need the advantage of 2 times normal speed and reaction), the invisibility (really, once per day/8 hours is quite enough) and the armourclass, even though just -2 isn't much.

WELL... It cannot be removed from Nalia's finger, right? So I guess I would get her as well :)

Too bad J doesn't have any unremovable items...

Me, a bunch of scroll of True Sight. Why? So I can see all those SP guys with Ring of Invisibility.
