Title says it all. I need to get rid of a lot of loot from around and I just don't want to dispose of some gem that may come into use somehow further in the game.

Which ones are useful beyond their prices, if you don't mind please ?

I've heard that diamonds and beljurils can be used to build magical weapons, though I have not had a chance to do so yet.

There are a few upgrades which require gems in ToB, but its nothing crazy:

    2 Rogue Stone
    6 Star Sapphire
    1 King's Tear
    1 Diamond
    1 Emerald

Also you can use 1 diamond and 1 beljuril in SoA to upgrade a certain item (I wont say spoilers unless you ask)

This information courtesy of info found on the Black Wyrm's Lair

I think one of the ToB walkthroughs includes a list of items (you don't have to follow a the rest of the walkthrough as it lays things out but they often have a few nice lists of things like this) you can have assembled once you get the necessary parts.

As a general rule most of the cheaper gems and jewelry can be sold.

Just check your mod loadout, first - several item packs call for different combinations :)

The diamond and beljuril are both used in upgrading the horn of valhalla, which is a horn that summons a berserk warrior to aid you. The horn can be found in a house in the northwest corner of the bridge district. To upgrade the horn, you have to talk to a merchant in Waukeen's Promenade. I can't remember the merchant's name exactly (I think it might be "Maheer"?) but he is found on a platform a bit to the southwest of the adventurers mart. By upgrading the horn, you get a more powerful warrior to aid you.

If you have any item upgrade mods (Weimer's, Rolles, Ruad, etc.) some combinations also require jewels.

You should hold on to one rogue stone, which will allow you to access a certain encounter to get one of the best items in the game.

Other than that, and provided that you don't play on playing ToB with this party, then yes you are OK to sell the rest. :)

I'm referring to the Twisted Rune encounter, which is accessed in the bridge district.
