I am trying to do a run through where I get the most out of banter and character quests. I have the banter pack installed with the mod that speeds up dialogue. This has been great.

What about the character quests? I want to put people in my party, do their quests, then drop them out. Can you just sleep until the quest activate? Is there a list of the cheats necessary to make the events happen?

    Thanks

It may depend on the quest/subquest you are thinking about. Some are started by a certain amount of realtime (in real life) passing while the others kick in by using up time in the game (by sleeping repeatedly or traveling from place to place).

to speed up the time in the game(with Debug Mode=1 enabled) just press ctrl+T

if you want to speed up the REAL time (sort-of) set the game on pause, so no dialogues appear and wait...

To add to what Balle said, Ctrl-T will advance the in-game time by 1 hour. Using CLUAConsole:AdvanceRealTime(X) will fulfil the same function as leaving the game paused- just replace X with an appropriately large number.

Also, a quest may require another condition to have occurred for it to begin- Cernd's requires you to return to Athkatla after the Trademeet quest, while Valygar's is the entire Planar Sphere.

Just ask if you are having a problem with one in particular.

To be honest, I'm not sure. Looking at the timers, seconds seem a bit slow, but I could easily be mistaken. To make sure I was advancing far enough, I would always set the number in question to be quite high.

seeing as in most cases it does not matter if you advance it 10 years in real-time, as long as the game time is the same...

on a side note to that, make sure you're not on any time-limited quests, ie. you must do x before y hours/days

    Thanks for the info.

Doing all the character quests, stronghold quests, and using the banter pack with the dialogue sped up has been an awesome run through.
