Hi guys, just saw this section and it reminded me of the god old Astelbania days :)

Anyway I have an idea for a Planescape game but I have absolutely no experience of being a Dm. I'd prefer having a PC so is it possible to throw the idea out there and then let the PC's follow said quest?

Sure, there's no need for a GM. If you look through a fair few of the games, it's all directed by players - a cooperative story, if you will.

Might be a good idea to see if there's interest first - so yeah, a summary post with an outline is always a good idea. But otherwise, go for it mate.

Sorry for the sheer lack of posts, real life is an incovenience sometimes. My idea is that theres a group of individuals in Sigil who have come under the scrutiny of the Dustmen. They want their bodies for one reason or another and they have no qualms by the fact they are all still alive. The individuals in question are not linked and to start with do not know each other, however they discover that the Dustmen want them dead and decide to flee the city of Sigil.

After they reach the Prime I wanted the rag tag group to experience difficulty in adapting to their new world and eventually travel back to Sigil to take on the Dustmen when they have enough resources.

This is all up for creative input and change, just wondered who'd be interested :)

Keep in mind that with Play by Post games things tend to unfold really really slowly. While epic plots can be fun, such a thing as that could take many years to play through.

Aye I know. I'm just remembering my Play by Post Astelbania days. It was slow, but it was amazing. I'm a writer and am just looking for an outlet with other writers :)

If you are interested please let me know and I'll start things off.

You have come to capture my interest in this. May I ask as to which time period this is to be set in?

I'm not sure on precise timelines, but however this PBP will be ever so loosely based on the short(ish) story I'm writing (Also hoping to work some of the characters people create on here in) and that story assumes that Ignus is still a centre piece in the Smoldering Corpse.

So I'd say shortly before the Nameless One begins his journey.
