A stronghold is a place that is aquired specific to your class. *Possible spoiler* If you are a mage, your stronghold is the Planar sphere. If you are a Paladin, the Radiant Heart temple is your stronghold. If you are a fighter, Darness (spelling) where Nadia is is your stronghold..etc. It's just a place that you control after a few quests dependent on your class.

When you played SOA, what class was your character? There are quests specific to different classes that will allow you to gain a stronghold.

Out of boredom I'll ask two trivia questions...

    1. What is the stronghold for my cleric that is not any kit?

    2. What quest must Priest of Lathander do for Mae'Var? If it is what I think it is, then it's totally unlogical. (I'd like to see the answer on this from a person that actually played this kit)

There are two Mae'var quests, on involves stealing an item from the temple of Lathander, and the other from the temple of Talos. It seems to be influenced by your reputation, not kit choice. So keep it high unless you want to steal from your own god's temple :p

Um, are you sure Volar? I mean, have you played as Lathander priest and chosen something like this:
"Better that he die an honest man..." ;)

Plus, my first question is still unanswered *glower*

Extremist: An unaffiliated cleric will defer to whichever church matches his alignment - neutral clerics to Helm, evil to Talos, good to Lathander.

As for the Mae'Var quests, all I can tell ya is that when I'm using a good party and doing them, we go to the Talos temple; evil robs from the Lathander temple (which was about 10x harder for me.)

    Hope that helps :)

Ok, correct answer but lacks of one detail.
What item must get the Priest of Lathander who's party reputation is let's say 8?

I'm not certain the Mae'Var quests are based off reputation; if it is, then you'll end up stealing from your own temple.

Seems idiotic, and I suppose it is, but likely the thought process on it is that someone that seems to be of a shady sort of character and definitely doesn't have a happy reputation preceding them probably wouldn't have any qualms with stealing from his own church.

Weak reasoning, perhaps, but the Mae'Var quests weren't really aimed at good-aligned characters - thus proven by the constant whining of good characters all the way through it. :D

Yes it is based on reputation and you do end up robbing your own church. Actually there is a check if you're Priest of Lathander so you don't end up with that, but the check doesn't work (a bug).
No matter, I just wanted to know if stealing from your own church is idiotic as I thought too so I can do something about it, right? ;)
