One crater, one boy that survived, two farmers who take the kid in and some ore.

Easter egg or "you have to be kidding me?"

I haven't played it yet, but this sounds like grade-A easter-egg material to me. Can you get the ore?

There is a very rare encounter (I only got it once) which is a direct reference to the Monty Python's Holy Grail... Hilarious. :D

the meteor encounter will happen if you have wardens keep. its random but it have a high probability for happening. Considering that the farmers wife have the same name as Supermans "mother", it s quite clearly an easter egg.

Didn't see a killer rabbit anywhere, the one I had was about an axe that would make you king (or queen) of Thedas if you pull it off a tree stump. I have to upload some pictures (I still have a save of that encounter).

In the Dragon Age wiki it is said that this encounter is extremely rare. :)

I've never come across it. And I've played the game like 8+ times. Ridiculous. :bang:

I had a few encounter I never had before. One was about a fire demon with an altar and a bunch of flaming skeletons and another was a group of dwarven rebels who attacked me because of Orzammar. Did you get those?

The most annoying thing is when you keep running into the dwarf merchant who sells goods at a discount. Once you bought the good stuff it's only a waste of time.

I get this one all the time. I was making an educated guess on the Monty Python easter egg. To me that would have been AWESOME. Especially if you had to fight the rabbit. AKA...The DarkSpawn Death Rabbit...

It would be a harder fight than the end dragon, because it moves so fast and is next to impossible to hit.

Hmm...I could see this as a mod. LOL...

That would have been awesome! :D

I took some screenshots (which I've uploaded to my album):

That still classic Bioware throwing a good Easter Egg in a game. I wonder if the different platforms have different Easter Eggs?

I just got the Axemeter (Monty Python) easter egg last night. The lines were funny, but the "acting" sucked.

    I still LOL'd! :p

The axe is pretty sweet too.

How far along are you in the game. I have a gut feeling that the random encounters are baded on PC level and how far you are along in the game.

My guy must have been around level 10 and not that far into the game (I hadn't completed the Deep Roads yet). I'll check my save if it provides any relevant information.

IMO they are pretty much random.

Not a random encounter, but something interestingly funny if you play a dwarf and are rescuing Anora from the Arl of Denerim's estate - there's a Star Wars reference, for those who remember Princess Leia telling Luke that he was a little short for a storm trooper - there's a comment where, as a dwarf, if you say "aren't you a little short on guard" to Anora, she makes a pithy comment that kind of relates to the above movie reference :D
