[IMG] Hello! Long-time reader, first time poster.

I have several questions regarding some minor annoyances in BG2 multiplayer. First, some background. I'm playing a two player multiplayer game on a LAN with my wife (I can't believe I managed to find a woman who will play computer games with me!). I control three characters (my own character Kirvanan, Jan, and Imoen) and she controls three characters (her own character Ellanara, Minsc, and Anomen). We do have some mods installed, and I was very careful to install the exact same mods in the exact same order.

    1. Is there a way to permanently alter party order in the character arbitration screen? Whenever we start a multiplayer session we have to reorder portraits so that her characters are the first three portraits, and mine are the last three. Again, a minor annoyance, but I'd like to know if there is a way around it.

    2. Is there a way to permanently set the option to pause all dialogue? (It's an option inside character arbitration). We've had to reset it every time we start a new session.

    3. Is there a way to allow party members controlled by different players to move past each other, instead of blocking the path? For example, the three characters I control can push each other out of the way to go through a door, but they can't push past the characters controlled by my wife.

    4. I've noticed that sometimes when one of my characters starts a banter with one of my wife's characters it doesn't always work. For example, I control Imoen and my wife controls Minsc. Imoen said a line to Minsc, and it seemed like Minsc should say something back, but the dialogue ended after Imoen's first line. Is there some way around this? Am I perhaps mistaken and there really is just that one line to the banter?

    5. Is there a way to change equipped items on another player's characters? We have all options turned on in the permissions screen.

    Thanks!

First of all, gratz on finding the perfect woman.

1)the order is according to arbitration screen char order. In other words, you will have to export and re import the onesarbitration to permanently swap their places. Remember, bags are not exported. Keep all bags on chars you are not exporting or you may lose them and all items contained. Character files also do not overwrite correctly.

As for the rest of your questions, I only have bad news , so I will stop here.

    Cheers, happy hunting.

Hoped I could have helped more. I play a lot on LAN with my sister, 3 characters each as well. As each sessions last for at least four hours, the settings and arrangements were not much of a hassle.

The only issue was that she is on a vista laptop, and I am on xp. I wish vista was never born lol.....

    Cheers.
