IWD2 Vista crash with multiplayer

    I have Vista. Whenever I try to load a game in multilayer, it crashes. I have patch 2.01 and have set all of the different compatibility types.

    wild guess: is it because 1024x768 isn't supported? perhaps you altered other default graphic settings, or game options in configuration? did it crash when you tried to join a game, or host one?

    Thanks for the reply. It's amazing that people still support this. Anyways, it seems to only happen with multiplayer. I can start a game in single player. The only thing is that my son and I already have a game together.

    remove all mods. havent tested my mod in MP cause my comp and my wife's cant seem to sync and this seems to crash when they try with fresh installs :confused:

    Here's how to fix it!

    I have the solution to this, as I had the exact same problem!

    When you are hosting a game in IWD II, switch to windowed mode (by pressing alt-enter together) when it would normally crash. Once the game is hosted, switch back to full screen, and it will work fine.

    I hope this fixes your problem.
