    @UCLAParadox

    I can not remember precisely but it must be IMPROVED BATTLES mod that buffed up Roneal. It is a GIGANTIC battle with him, his HIGHEST quality army,(mages, archers, normal goons) and there is a time limit even! You must first kill every and last member of his army to make Roneal vulnerable and he is hard too! OH and there is also some suprise as well! Definitely a GREAT battle worthy of any real warrior. TRY IT OK?

    @ Silverstar

    As soon as I can find it, I'm playing it. I love the fighter stronghold a lot but that end fight is always pathetic. Now it sounds like a darn good fight. Thanks much.

    ^Like I said, it must be IMPROVED BATTLES mod. It also has lots of other improved battles just like Tactics mod. Having BOTH installed ensures FUN UNPARALELLED! (reloading countless times in frustration, shouting bad words, thinking to punch computer screen really hard or SOMETIMES dropping the difficulty level a bit in absolute shame, these things make me feel so alive!!! :D )

    Fighter, Bard, and Thief strongholds are the only ones that actually generate money. I hear good things about the Moon Dog, which is good cause they are great in PNP, but is the other stronghold figurine any good?

    Other figurine is a Golden Lion, which is the Druid Stronghold I think. Money is generated every week, 500 flat for fighter, Thieves based on risk (after quota is taken, though I think its 5 days it generates, not a week), Bard it depends on initial investment, but slowly drops down to 500, just like the fighter. Initial investment varies, but for max results dish out 10k gold (ouch). I think it starts 1800 a week - 100 for every week past the first, so you will EVENTUALLY get your money back. Fighter you also dish out money for events, thieves (besides quota) don't.

    The Bard stronghold is pretty fun. Good writing and more than a few laughs from that one.

    The mage stronghold stuff is very useful if you've got more than one mage in your party. A mage can't wear more than one Ring of Wizardry, for example.

    I like the Paladin Stronghold. Slaying a dragon is a real challenge!

    Yet, all characters can slay the dragon, not only paladins :p

    If anything, getting the lowest AC plate mail in the game besides drow stuff is worth playing a pally. And I am not talking about the Red Scale armor.

    Hey, plus you get the Holy Avenger +5, which as far as I can see, is a totally awesome two-handed sword! :D That sword is basically the reason that I put points into 2H swords.

    Edit: Oh, and what armor do you mean?

    He is referring the armor that you get as a reward to the Paladin Stonghold. I think it is called Armor of the Hart. Essentially, I think it's magical full plate mail, giving a base armor class of either -1 or -2. It is among the best armors available in the SoA section of the game. Other armors that are close include the Gorgon Plate (-1 I think) and the other armor that you get in the underdark, although I can't remember it's name for the life of me. In ToB, there are other options, like Sharuppak's Plate (or something like that although I probably botched the spelling), that you get in the final battle with Yaga-Shura.

    I thought it was Armor of the Hart too, but after looking it up, its not, you get that somewhere else. Pride of the Legion is the pally armor, and it's not as good as the Hart armor, so I retract my above statement, though Legion's -1 AC is still good.
