    Hello,

I recently have been experiencing crashes in Baldur's Gate II (SoA only), with increasing frequency. I installed the patch last night, the latest version according to the Bioware website; I had hoped that installing the patch would stop the crashing, but upon loading my game this afternoon, it happened again as soon as I had to zone into the docks (and change CDs).

This crashing problem started with the Adventure's Market, but now seems to happen every time I change the disc to move from one area to another (never during actual game-play, though it does get a little laggy sometimes).

    Your thoughts, lords and ladies?

    Thanks in advance,

    -Gene

    Empty your cache.

    If that doesn't work, reinstall.

I was afraid that would be the only advice offered. Ah, such is life.

    Thank ye anyways.

Emptying your cache should take care of your problem, though.

There could be something up with your computer. Have games with similar requirements lagged also?

I only have two other games loaded onto this computer (only had it about a month and a half), which are EverQuest and Soldier of Fortune 2. Neither so much as lags even alittle during online gameplay. I had Thief 3 installed, but that also ran very smoothly (no crashes atall). Dropped Thief when I found the Baldur's Gates discs, as it's one of the few single player games to really hold my attention in a very long time.

Thanks for the help, will try emptying the cache before I play next.
