I tried out Mplayer.com last week. Go there sign up and get the patch if you don't have it already. Then stick in the game and go to Multiplayer and select mplayer, this logs you in and sends you straight to the room and you should be set. Personally, its not all that great but has the potential to be. I'd like it better if I could find some serious peeps to play with.

In my personal opinion, MPlayer is just anoying. Too complicated and they E-mail you so much junk. I would reccomend finding a few people in chat rooms and playing over IPX. It works wonders for me, plus you meet somecool people, and you aren't always starting new games. There is also substantially less arguing...

Forget M'Player as all you are doing is connecting through a "middle man". Go for a direct TCP/IP link to the machine of the host player. I'm playing in a couple of multi-player games and they're great fun and well worth the effort.

I've got to shoot out for a little while but if you want to list any specific questions regarding starting/playing a multi game then post them here and I'll answer them later today :)

If someone on this board wants to set up a multiplayer party I would be very interested in playing with them since when you play on mplayer it turns in to diablo 2 with all the pk'ers and rushin through dialogue to hack more monsters.

[IMG] And what's worse is that 99% of the time it's through Irenicus' Dungeon. At least for the two days I put up with it. I have a month before I loose my service for the summer, (going back home, don't have as good internet service, and working/schooling too). Well within the next month I would be willing to play at set times with some serious peeps. Timezones could be a problem though, I'm east coast US. What do y'all think?

I live on the west coast but timezone is not a problem because I only work part time and its 4:14 am right now so as you can see I dont care about staying up late.If it is on a weekday notify me ahead of time so I can think of some excuse to ditch school.

Oh about a month too late, I won't be able to play online this summer, but maybe next fall. Who knows. Throne of Bhaal will be out by then. If somebody could stand it a whole party could go through BG1, TotSC, BG2, and ToB together. That would not be easy and would take a long time, but could be a rewarding experience.
