All i need to know is if i go with him to sahuagin city can i still go to underdark?

I want to do both, and really want it to be possible.....

If not wich one should i choose, any suggestions?

Yes, go with Saemon, you will end up in the Underdark eventually...

If you right to the Underdark, you'll totally miss an entire area that you can't go back to.

The fish city isn't a very hard area, and you can get at least(in my opinion) one of the better items of the game there. You'll be thankfull once you get to the underdark that you went to sahuagin city.

Sounds like I made the right choice after all then. That's where I stopped playing when I finished Spellhold, back in Brynnlaw about to head off on the ship.

In your opinion, did it feel like a valid reason for going to the Sahuagin City or did it feel like a "fill in" part of the game just to add more play time before heading to the Underdark.

Obviously I have no choice but to go there it seems and I just hope when I arrive, I'm not itching to leave only to have to finish a dozen or so stupid quests just to get a portal stone or portal key or a little rock to get past the only place that leads to the Underdark.

I can't stand annoyances like that.

Brynnlaw was a perfect example of that.

    Syl...

Hmmm... It's probably more of a fill-in type thing, but I enjoyed it... The whole fulfillment of prophecy deal appealed to me. But don't worry, it's pretty quick and easy, and you get some good stuff...

Oh, and there's a pretty comical Beholder that you get to talk to :)

Ah ah, yes I totally agree with Blackthorne, this Beholder is so... cute, lol :D.

Well, for my 1st game, I didn't go to the Sahaguin City, waste of time... But, for my 2nd game, I wanted to go there to see how this part looks, and I was not disappointed, the place looks nice... and as I hate those sharkies creature, it is so nice to hack and slash them, :)... Hehe, in PP game, I played for long campaigns an Aquatic Elf, Sea Sorcerer (can be found in Dragon Magazine), and he HATES Sahuagins :D.

The beholder was reason enough to go see the fishes. The section was fairly easy and will pass quickly, and it is another nice chance to interact with a different race in their environment. I loved how they acted all big and bad but I knew I could turn them all into chum easily. The sequence getting to the vity is also really cool, and all the canals and waterfalls in the city look great. Anyway, you also get a really powerfull item basically off of a nobody. I'm dying to know how that guy got the cloak. What a pushover to have that item. I should have found that in a litchs' stash or something.

Well. Here I go again. I thought the city was poorly done. The script and the story around it was unappealing, limited and the whole area can be done very quickly -acutally that's a good thing.

The only great additions are the quick appearance of the Githyanki aboard the ship and perhaps (arguably) the most powerful item in the game found within the city. The Cloak of Mirrors. Which is disgustingly easy to get, it's definitely poor game design. No quest. Nothing. Just a 'fight the 3HD opponents' and take it.

There is also 'thrust' upon you eons of adventure by legendary heroes when you play match the item -to- the legendary hero. It's cute. It's not AD&D.

And by the way, everyone there is insane or power obsessed. Perhaps even both.

Is it worth it? Just for the Cloak or the Fists of Crushing...yes.

Hmmz I went to the Underdark and now I discovered that I missed this part of the game, can I still go back to it? Is there a way to get in the city without Seamon help.

I'm afraid you've missed out; there's no other way to get there.

Theplot intrigue is brilliant in Fish land. The seemingly good path is helping the Prince but he is blatently evil. I killed the lot of them after getting the exp.

PS. You can't kill the king if you side with him coz he dissapears.

Wow-I was wondering there, when I saw that Sylvus had posted. When I saw the dates, all was made clear...

I recommend Sahuagin City, I had fun shredding the scaly bastards. All fishy foes shall fall to my mighty sword!

Perhaps I can leave one for Minsc and Boo.

[IMG] Yep, Shahuagin City is cool - my cavalier shared Keldorns opinion that this evil beasts should be wiped out and so we did justice there ... and whichever way you choose: The area is worth the travel for you find the wave blade there :D I´d choose Saemon Havarian (you can also kill some more nasty Githiankis ;) )
