Gamesdomain and Kangaxx

    What happened to www.gamesdomain.com ? For the life of me I can't get to the walkthroughs for BGII now that dumbass yahoo took over.

    Anyway... I'm trying to find out what the hell will hurt Kangaxx the Demi-lich. I only have a Monk and Yoshimo in my party and I haven't been able to hit him with anything other than the horn of blasting.

    He seems to be immune to plus 4 weapons (Daystar is +4 against undead.) Am I missing out on something here?

    [​IMG] Get Keldorn and equip him with the Holy Avenger found in Firkraag's Lair.

    I beleive the Staff of Rynn +4 will do damage on him.

    Daystar is considered a +2 THAC0 weapon. Rynn is +4 so Rynn should do damage.

    Also, the Ring of the Ram can do ample damage against his Demi-Lich form.

    Get a mage who has Melf's Minute Meteors and use it on him.

    I was hoping to do Kangaxx without getting another party member... but I guess not. Keldorn is dead somewhere. He joined me briefly - died and then I just booted him from the party. So I don't even think I can resurect him at this point :)

    There were three text based walkthroughs that I often referenced and haven't been able to find here (though I could just be missing them). They were very thorough with quests, NPC, tips, tricks, beasts etc.

    As stated, you´ll need a +4 weapon or better.
    Also get the scrolls of "Protection from Undead" and "Protection from Magic" from Ribald and use them on whomever will take him on.

    Daystar is indeed +4 against undead.
    But only when calculating how good it will hit, not what it can hit. It still counts as a +2 weapon regarding what it can hit.

    Almost forgot...
    I promise you that anythign you can find there you can find here. Just make a search for Kangaxx here in teh forums and you´ll get more tips than you will want to read :)

    Fire and Air Elementals can also damage Kangaxx, at least it worked for me. There are a lot of threads about how to kill Kangaxx, by the way.

    With a Monk, the only option you will have as far as a weapon available to you is the staff of Rynn. Obviously, you only have access to stuff in chapter 2, since you still have Yoshimo. I would recommend buying the staff of Rynn along with some protection from magic and/or protection from undead scrolls, and you shouldn't have a problem. Other than the fact it's going to take a while to kill him with only one guy hitting him with the staff...
