About Arcana Obscura
Prior to release, several spell scrolls in Planescape: Torment have been removed from the game for various reasons. While some of these may be imbalanced (like the Antimagic Shell spell), Torment has never really been about balanced combat and I can see no reason why The Nameless One should not be able to master these powers.
The following spells can once again be learned by The Nameless One:
- Black-Barbed Shield: Like its sister spell, this one can be gleaned from the black-barbed seeds of an overgrown maze.
- Pain Mirror: The Society of Sensation will be more than happy to part with this scroll for a small fee.
- Blacksphere: This scroll can be found gathering dust on a shelf of a Magic Shoppe in the Lower Ward.
- Antimagic Shell: At a significant markup, The Nameless One can purchase this spell at the Private Sensorium.
- Howl of Pandemonium: Let your curiosity take the better of you and find out what howling at the moon is all about.
- Conflagration: Loot this scroll from a seriously cranky demon that was stuck in a box for centuries. Make sure to kill it first.
- Elysium's Fires: The fury of the Heavens will be at your fingertips if you can pry this scroll from an angel's hands.
Note: This mod does not add spell scrolls that have never existed in the first place, nor does it allow The Nameless One to learn unique spells that are only available to certain companions, such as Ignus' Fury. It also does not add a scroll of Enoll Eva's Duplication, as it can be learned from a different item, or a scroll of Rune of Torment since you can cast it at will once it becomes available.
Installation
- Make sure you have the latest of Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition installed on your hard drive.
- Extract the contents of the archive to your Planescape: Torment installation directory.
- Run Setup-ArcanaObscura.exe and follow the instructions that appear on the console screen.
- It is recommended that you start a new game to make full use of this mod's features.
