My wife and I own a 2005 Mazda MPV and 2006 Mits. Lancer. We are thinking of trading in the 05 MPV for a 01 Audi allroad.

I have been looking at trading in the van in for an Audi for about 6 months. I would like an A6 Avant or just a plain old A6 but they are hard to come by in my area. There is a local dealership that has 3 allroads; 2 2001 and 1 2003. I am trying to make sure that I don't end up with a loan when I walk out of the dealership and I want a car that is most definitely has more luxury features than the cars I drive.

A few questions. If anyone owned or does own an Audi do you recommend them and are they as expensive to repair? In addition, do you know of any major issue with the Allroads sold between 2001 and 2004?

As for the allroad at the dealership..It is a 2001, Silver exterior, black and gray interior, and it has over 100K miles.

My van is black exterior with grey cloth interior; it has around 55K miles.

How did you manage to find a vehicle that won't be built for another 18,000 years?

    88 mph.

Any car with 100,000 miles is expensive to maintain.

On top of that, it's a foreign vehicle. Your repair cost will be through the roof. Let it be and keep your 55k van.

We talked about it and decided against it. Our van has only cost us oil changes and new tires since we bought it 2 years ago. No need to add other headaches to our already busy life.
