999 energy blades & increased speed

Has anyone else found this out? You can get 999 energy blades as well as it speeding you up for movement while "equipped". Simply place any weapon you don't want in one of your weapon slots. Then go into EEKeper (don't know if it will work for the other Keepers but I assume so.) and search for "energy" in the search bar. It's in the darts section.
you can get it up to 999 energy blades. It attacks FAST as well as making you move as if you have boots of speed equipped. But the speed movement only works if you have the energy blades "equipped".
You can also do this with Melf's acid arrows except you don't get the speed. It's great for trolls though
Oh yea. Almost forgot. The only draw back I see is that you can NOT "unequip" the "weapons" but your other weapons can be unequipped just fine.

I'm with dmc on this one. I mean if you're gonna mess around with the Keeper, why not just give yourself one of the instakill weapons?

I get that it's fun to just wreck everything once in a while (not that you need to cheat for that), but it kinda ruins the game experience.

 

I just use the acid arrows. I discovered the energy blades by mistake while looking for the returning dart. So I then found the acid arrows since they are great vs trolls. It's not that much dif from getting regular arrows of acid or fire, or the hard to find sun bullets.
I do admit that I did try the energy blades for a bit though. Seriously fast both in attack and on foot.
Forgot to mention that I only do it for my mage not everyone.

You won't get the land speed increase but you can get 5 attacks per round with a crossbow using the special ammunition that comes with the Big Metal Unit. They work with any crossbow and are very powerful. The catch is that you don't get them legitimately until very late in game.

One of the instakill weapons? I'm intrigued. What weapons are instakill?

 

Not sure off the top of my head (don't have the game installed). I'm almost 100% sure there's a dagger or short sword wielded by one of the shadow thieves. Or was it Artemis or something? There should be more than one though, and probably a spell or two. Would have to do an opcode search.

 

Arkanis Gath's weapon. He's the thief that shows up if you try to attack the shadow thieves before Brynnlaw.

There are a few insta-kill spells. I haven't used Shadowkeeper in a while but one is called "Rapture of the Father" iirc. It's the spell Irenicus uses to perform the ritual that allows him to steal your soul.

There is also a weapon that the developers used to get through the game in tests. It is not technically instant kill but it deals something like 9999 damage of every type with every hit so it may as well be.
