    [IMG] Hi.
    Just wondering about something.
In one of the early city quests, I get to go down into the sewers, in the church area.
There are two secret areas here. One is the one I need to go through, to complet the quest, and the other one ... the other one leads to a den of mindflayers, Illithids and charmed adventurers.
Are they there, just for fun, or part of a larger scheme??
If not, Ill try to wipe them out, although they are rather tough, and they even got Umberhulks to help them.

[IMG] There are 3 extra passages in the sewers.
    Unseeing eye cult
    Mekrath's area
    Mind Flayer area
In the Mind Flayer area you pick up a Wand of Wonder and the Hammer of Thunderbolts +3.

[IMG] Try the spell animate dead as skeletons are immune to magic.
Also try spell Chaotic Commands on the Mindflayers.
Should get you past if you are a high enough level.

[IMG] The Mindflayers aren't part of a quest, you don't have to defeat them. You aren't supposed
to be able to get in there before you pick up the sewer key off Tazok's corpse in the Windspear Hills.

No, it won't open unless you have the Sewer Key from Windspear Hills. Obviously you had it in your inventory at the time you tried to open the door, unlocking it. Otherwise, it will give you a message stating the door cannot be opened by magical or normal means.
