    This may be a bit lengthy, but I hope amusing.

    (Male) HUMAN FIGHTER (Chaotic Good)

    S = 10 + 8 = 18
    I = 10 + 2 = 12
    W = 10 - 2 = 8
    D = 10 + 2 = 12
    CON = 10 + 8 = 18
    CHA = 10 - 2 = 8
    His relatively low charisma is due to the facts that: he burps and flatulates a lot, has a short fuse and, although he is a good buddy to his friends, often gets into barroom fracases. He frequents taverns and brothels and sings bawdy ballads under the impression that volume and enthusiasm will make up for lack of musical talent. He’s not wise either (most of my characters, except for those whose class requires Wisdom, are not over wise; they wouldn’t quite run up to pee on the evil altar to see what happens, but the temptation would cross their minds). He’s always ready for a good fight. I call him Bubba.

    (Female) HUMAN BARD (Neutral Good)
    S = 10 = 10
    I = 10 + 3 = 13
    W = 10 - 2 = 8
    D = 10 + 4 = 14
    CON =10 + 6 = 16
    CHA = 10 + 5 = 15

    She currently accompanies Bubba on his pub crawls. She’s perfectly at home as the “dance hall girl”, singing for drinks and dancing the night away; she has, however, the chameleonic personality of a true Bard, and would be equally at home at the Medieval equivalent of a high tea playing madrigals and court dances with the high-falutin’ nobility. She’d like to get some adventuring under her belt. Call her Brigid.

    (Male) HALFLING (STRONGHEART) DRUID (Neutral)
    S = 8 = 8
    I = 10 + 1 = 11
    W = 10 + 5 = 15
    D = 12 = 12
    CON =10 + 6 = 16
    CHA = 10 + 4 = 14

    He was restless and impatient with community life, unlike his fellows. Finding a group of Druids, he left town to study with them, though he retains some family ties.
    He’s wandered the wilderness and communed with nature, which he found far less frustratingly political than “civilization”. He’s called Dildo. In his wanderings, he met . . .

    (Male) WILD ELF SORCEROR (Neutral Good)
    S = 10 = 10
    I = 8 + 2 = 10
    W = 10 - 2 = 8
    D = 12 + 6 = 16
    CON = 10 + 6 = 16
    CHA = 12 + 4 = 16

    He’s anxious to experience the world, having rejected the isolationist philosophy of his kind. He is, however, nervous about “civilization”, and has asked Dildo to help him acclimatize to the chaos of cities and towns. A bunch of small towns would be ideal!
    I’ve chosen to call him Simon, after the Simon Magus who, traditionally, challenged St. Peter. They say he lost, but we know who wrote the history books, don’t we?

    (Female) TIEFLING ROGUE (Chaotic Good)
    S = 10 + 2 = 12
    I = 12 + 4 = 16
    W = 10 - 2 = 8
    D = 12 + 6 = 18
    CON =10 + 6 = 16
    CHA = 8 = 8

    She tries to be good -- honestly she does. The diabolical taint in her blood keeps tempting her to violence, cruelty and capriciousness, and the constant struggle with her impulses is what makes her quiet and withdrawn. Chaotic Good is as good as she can manage. After they meet, she thinks Dildo is just too cute for words, especially when she learns that not all a halfling’s parts are half-sized. She is known as Theriona (in a backhanded remembrance of Aleister Crowley, who sometimes styled himself as To Mega Therion -- The Great Beast).

    (Female) AASIMAR PALADIN (Lawful Good)
    S = 10 + 5 = 15
    I = 10 - 1 = 9
    W = 12 + 2 = 14
    D = 10 - 2 = 8
    CON =10 + 7 = 17
    CHA = 12 + 5 = 17

    She is, of course, an idealist, still young and a bit naive, but eager to set the world aright. She has met Theriona, and sympathizes with her internal turmoil. She is willing to act as mentor, and thinks the best thing for the tormented Tiefling is to get into a situation of conflict with evil, where she can apply her violent impulses in a good cause. After encountering him she finds the Wild Elf exotic and fascinating. I’m calling her Adastra as a tribute to a gal who was as good a sci-fi and fantasy writer as any; Marion Zimmer Bradley, who -- before most readers were born, and in fact before a lot of their parents were born -- used Ad Astra (to the stars) as a handle in writing fan letters to pulp sci-fi mags.

    These folks are all mavericks; I think most adventurers, game, fiction and real, are. In fact I believe the reason we play these games is to get in touch with that inner, suppressed maverick in all of us.

    This party, by the time they reach third Level (second for the Aasimar and Tiefling) will be Magic-heavy. The Druid has some pretty potent offensive spells, the Sorceror can throw a bunch, the Bard will have a few, and the Rogue intends to pick up at least a Level as a Specialist Wizard, thus garnering two spells at first Level.

    Theriona will take Weapon Finesse as a feat, and will eventually go for dual-wielding. Question -- if, in a Sneak Attack, she hits with both hands, then: will only the first attack landing qualify for bonus damage or; will both attacks get the extra d6's damage?
