Add Sarevok. Who to drop?

My party consists of an Inquisitor protagonist.
Jaheira
Minsc
Imoen
Jan
Anomen

I want to add Sarevok but I am undecided who to drop. I like to have melee heavy party and like to keep Imoen for sure. I reckon Anomen or Jan are the likely ones to let go, but I would like to hear some others opinions on it.

 

As it looks like a goodish party, I'd recommend you forget about Sarevok. Take him in when you play with an evil group next time.

 

As a roleplayer, the answerer would have to be Jan. There are your long time friends, a cleric, and Jan. Jan goes.

 

Drop Anomen, unless you're romancing him.

- Sarevok can be converted to good later in the game. So the Good Party thing isnt really a big deal.

 

I understood that Sarevok would not leave the party because of reputation. Is that not correct? I also read somewhere here that Sarevok would turn good. I this false?

 

I've heard that before, but how do you convert him to good???

 

Don't let Sarevok make an oath and always give the good-aligned answers. It takes some time, I heared.

 

He didnt turn Good until near Sendai/Abazigal in my game...took some worki' on that 'un.

 

Definetely boot Jan, Imoen can do everything you'd need Jan for... hell boot Minsc and Jaheria too for Mazzy and Valygar.

I'd also recommend the Ascension mod for Sarevok: his sword gets a nice boost in power when he wields it.

So you have a party with Anomen, jaheira and Jan, and you wonder who to drop?

Jezus criest, drop those losers take saravok and viconia, and bring balance to your party!

I was so happy when I did meet Saravok, finaly I could get rit of Anomen! (I couldn't find Hear Dalis while playing SOA )

 

If you want entertaining interactions keep Jan but Anomen would be better to keep for battle

 

I chose to drop Anomen. I like his strengths and I will miss those high level priest spells, but after a few fights I decided Jaheira could handle what little healing I needed. To all the Anomen detractors, you don't know what you're talking about. His characterizations and quests are well done and perhaps some of the best in the game. Yes, he is often annoying with his condescending, uppercrust accent and holier than thou attitude, but he is strong in a fight. The only knock I have on him is for a low dexterity stat. However, there isn't any question that Sarevok will be better in a fight and I wanted a party with Imoen and Sarevok in it.

 

When you get Sarevok let Imoen give a piece of her soul - it results in a funny dialog later on

 

drop minsc. he doesnt like sarevok very much, and his berzerker rage doesnt even begin to compare with sarevok's deathbringer assault!!! (instant death!!! )

Minsc or annomen(annoy-me).

 

Strange party to begin with. With a paladin protagonist I'd never ever allow Jan Jansen in the party.
Jaheira is stretching the limits as it is, but since she was practically "assigned" as your guardian by your foster father in BG1 she'll be allowed to come along.
