History: Katherine worked in the Lyran military of the Federated Commonwealth for ten years before mustering out. With the help of her family contacts, she was able to keep her Mech and put out the call for other mercs to join her new company, Claws of the Cat. Being the lance commander of her own unit is what she's been waiting to do since childhood.

History: Having mustered out of the Marik Militia some years previously, Benjamin shopped himself around to several mercenary outfits over the years, honing his skills for reconnaisance. After the last unit bankrupted itself and the commander tried to seize Ben's own 'Mech to pay off the unit's debts, the mechwarrior swore never to let himself fall into that trap and began to study accounting and financial administration. He serves as "The Claws of the Cat"'s bookkeeper and administrator.

Mech: ALex has what he calls a 'wanzer', a wanderlung panzer, or walking tank. The model is known as the Zenislev, a melee wanzer.

History: Alex is a relatively young melee wanzer pilot, having only used construction vehicles before about two years ago. A conscription forced him into the military, where he made the swap from construction wanzers to military ones.

His group was almost destroyed following a botched assault on a heavily fortified position, and in the aftermath of the slaughter, he deserted, taking the military's attack wanzer with him. He changed the registration numbers, repainted it, and made his way to the nearest merc company he could find. This was the Claws of the Cat company, and he now attempts to get into the company, desperately needing a place to hide before the pursuing militia find him.
