Just a little story i wrote a few nights ago. Enjoy.

    “Another one, Sam?”
“Yeah. You keep on pouring, I’ll keep on drinking” replied Sam to the barman.
The man behind the bar turned his back to Sam and poured another flask from the biggest of the many barrels behind the bar. He slid the flask to Sam across the bar-top made smooth by the collection over many years of spilt liquor, dirt and grime. Sam slid a couple of notes back through the trail that the flask had left.

Sam took a deep swig from the flask then put it back down on the smooth but stained bar. The barman busied himself polishing a glass and inspecting wine bottles. This had always puzzled Sam, since he’d never seen anyone ask for a glass, and certainly never wine. Most of the drinking house’s (and that is the polite way of putting it) clientele had difficulty understanding what chairs were. Another swig from the flask and these thoughts of a rambling mind were gone. Sam had never wondered what he was actually drinking but he didn’t honestly care; alcohol was alcohol and that’s what he needed today, and everyday for the past two years, but the past was not something that Sam’s mind liked to dwell on.

One more long swig and the flask is empty, the passing thoughts of an idle mind are gone and it’s time for,

    “Another?”
    “Sure just keep ‘em coming”.
