Arrogant Lead Characters

    Arrogance has always been considered a bad trait, yet for some reason arrogant lead characters are often cast. So I was just wondering what arrogant lead characters from movies/tv shows can you think of?

    The two that come straight to mind are:
    Tony Stark - Ironman
    Greg House - House M.D.

    Anyone got others?

    Al Swearingen of Deadwood fame.

    I think it takes a special kind of arrogance to become likeable. House and Stark are self-deprecating, which makes them appear that they take themselves not seriously.
