An error popped up whilst installing and when I tried to open my SoA game it couldn't find it. for reasons beyond me i tried opening it with "bggltest" and whenever I start up my shortcut three colours appear. I didn't have this error in my last ToB game.

    Any ideas? Please?

bggltest.exe is a graphics testing program; BGMain.exe (or baldur.exe for the splash screen) is what you should be opening. If that doesn't work, then you need to re-install. I might also suggest the ToB patch, though I doubt this is a normal bug. The error while installing really should have tipped you off.

I went to black isle in my program files and i dont see BGmain.exe or Bulder.exe.

    The error states:
    Component Transfer Error
    Component: Required_Data
    File Group: Minimum_25_Data
    File: D:bad:data2.cab
    Error: Incorrect Function

    hope that helps...

:whoa: Then you'll need to re-install from SoA on up...unless you've got a BGMain2.exe from Baldurdash or something. BGMain.exe is the game; without it, you've just got a bunch of supplementary files.

Wait, did you say your Black Isle folder? You should be checking in your BGII-SoA folder for it.

I suggest you use the Disk Defragmenter (Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter) before re-installing. Un-installing and re-installing several times tends to mess things up, specially when you have other mods and the such. Defrag will clean your comp up, organize it, and serve you coffee :D .
