Title says it all. I'm just wondering how high the SP's level of interest is for a solo LP of Baldur's Gate. (Done in forum format, not videos.)

I always find such threads interesting and the previous ones that we've had were quite popular as far as I remember.

If you'd be a beta tester for my NPC mod while you're doing it, I'd totally watch it. :p

    >Solo let's play
    >Using an NPC mod.

(though i suppose he could still test the kit on his CHARNAME, i don't know how suited it would be for a solo playthrough.)

As far as myself being interested - i'd say go for it.
Was searching around on the net a while ago and stumbled on this lets play log of someone going through Icewind dale solo on the HoF difficulty and i thought it was an interesting read : http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...dale-ee-on-insane-heart-of-fury-ironman.96536

Sorry, I should have specified the kit from my NPC mod. I didn't intend for him to take the NPC along, I was just kinda curious how the kit would fare in a solo run.

Either way, it wasn't really a serious request. It's kinda pointless if you solo the game with a class that has perma-invisibility.

What kind of kit? As far as viability goes, I soloed as a F/T and Berserker before, so yeah.

It's a warlock kit (an approximation of the 3E class) and while it's perfectly balanced in PnP, it's slightly on the cheesy side for a low-level campaign like BG1. Having permanent invisibility and spell-like abilities that never miss would probably make for very smooth sailing, although the harder battles would still be very hard to solo. I've done a couple of runs through the game with it, but it's always been with a party, so I have no real idea how it wold fare in solo.

In solo, any class is slightly weaker until higher levels, but you get to higher levels faster. Especially as a single class. I'll think on it.

Like I said, I was trying to be facetious (and failing as usual). I don't really think you making a LP series with a cheesy modded kit would be very fun to watch. Well, for anyone other than me, I suppose. Of course, if you do want to beta test the current version of the mod at some point (preferably with the NPC), you're more than welcome to it. :rolling:

Such LP-esque threads are usually quite entertaining to read, so go ahead.

I think my most challenging BG1 solo run was vanilla bard in the original engine.

    Enchanted, I'm sure.

I'd go with a Dragon Disciple. No reason.

Sorcerers are a little too easy to solo after the first couple of levels.
