    [IMG] hey guys!!!!

i'm in the dorn's deep now. i got to talk to balthanos and ask him how to get down to the deeper dorn. but giving me instructions on how to get down there he gave me a quest to look for his apprentice who have some potion in him. i think the apprentice is the one in the ettin cave. i got the potion from a skeleton. i didn't return to balthanos that time. instead i continued and clean off all the baddies in the level 1 of drawf building and helped the umber hulk who used to be a great wizard. after this i went back to balthanos. however, when i talked him, with the potion of some kind with me, i can't see any option in there to say that i finally found the potion he is looking for. i'm stuck. what am i to do next??? and where is his apprentice anyway and where is this potion he requires???? and is there a way for me to still find the way to deeper dorns???

and by the way, i think i finally solved my problems. for crashing problems, i reduced the sound acceleration. as for the IWD returning to desktop i deleted some files in the music folder of icewind dale.

The skeleton you found was the apprentice... You don't need the wizard to find Lower Dorn's; at best he gives you a vague clue... Just adventure around and you'll find it...

all the wizard dude does is: he tells you that there is a secret door in one of the rooms in that fortress thing. you have to go in there (entrance is in SE of dorns deep map) and then find that door, from there you have to do an amazingly confuzing puzzle which I will leave you to figure out...
